Broken door switch
Removed lint trap, and unscrewed two phillips screws, the use a flathead screwdriver and separate the top portion of the dryer...there are two clips that hold it down, located on both front edges of the dryer. Just pry open and it lifts easily. Prop up the top of the dryer. Unplug the door switch, then open the dryer door remove the two screws holding the switch and replace. Very easy...good luck!

Door cut off switch was broken
The dryer switch was broken at our cabin and the phillips head screws holing the switch in would not budge! Just then a small gold UFO disc about 30 ft. in diameter landed in the yard and two little green men about 3 feet tall got out and came into the cabin!! Wow! "What is the problem, earthling?" one of the asked. "It's these damn tiny phillips head screws" I replied. "Can't get them loose." One of the aliens pulled a ray gun and blasted the screws and they fell off. I quickly finished the repair as they flew away in their ship!

The door kill switch was not stopping the dryer when the door was opened.
I simply took 2 screws out that secure the lint screen to the dryer top. I lifted the lid to find the switch right in front. Two screws hold it in place. I removed the screws and unplugged the old switch. Then in reverse order I installed the new switch. Works fine.

Dryer would not start
Dryer refused to start. Looked at "troubleshooting" section of manual. Several options, but door switch made the most sense since opening the door had not been stopping dryer for some time. Googled for the part. Found part select. Photo looked like my door switch. Uplugged power. Removed the dryer filter screws. Pried up the top panel. Propped it open and removed the door switch (two screws and a plug. Two days later new part arrived. Installed it (two screws and plug. Pressed dryer top back down into place. Replaced two screws in filter unit. Plugged in power. Started up right away. Spent more time figuring out how to lift dryer top than in removing and replacing switch.

Dryer would not turn on and we discovered that the switch was broken off and too short..
I watched the YouTube instructions and did the repair in that order. The repair took a little longer because I dropped one of the screws from the door area. But it didn't take long to get it out and I was successful. Yippee.

Dryer would not turn on.
Dryer at out Bahama home quit working and with no repair men or service centers on island it had to be a do-it-yourself job. I watched the repair video, which was exptremely helpful. Unscrewed the two lint trap door philips screws, popped open the top of dryer with putty knife blade gently prying at two corners, unscrewed two little screws holding the door switch, unplugged switch carefully, plugged in new switch, put all back together, plugged dryer back in, crossed our fingers and perfect!!Dryer works great. Thanks Partselect!

Broken door switch
When the dryer door was open, the light would not come on and the drum would not stop spinning. Eventually, the dryer completly quit functioning. We repaired it exactly as the videos and other posters suggested. It was surprisingly difficult to separate the plastic connectors - it took two people and a small flathead screwdriver to pop it apart. Put it back together, and voila! Thanks so much!

Door switch was broken
I saw on your site an email from another person who had the same problem. He identified the location of the two screws that must be removed to lift up the top (under the lid to the lint screen). There also are snap-type fasteners at each of the two front corners of the top; these are released simply by pulling up. Once the top is up, the switch assembly is easily installed by removing the old switch (two small screws on the outside of the unit on either side of the switch trigger, screwing in the new one and snapping the wiring harnesses together. The snap connector only goes together one way.

Broke door switch and had to replace part.
Popped off dryer end caps, unscrewed 6 different screws, and the top flipped up. Taking the broken part out was easy and so was installing the new one. Would have gone faster if i hadn't put the switch thru the opening backwards! I went back to the video instructions before putting lid back down, and caught my mistake. Overall, took 30 minutes when it should have taken only 15 or 20. I did it alone and didn't need any help. Woohoo!

Shut off switch went bad
....just as the video described, removed 2 scews in filter housing, used putty knife to release 2 clips holding top to body of machine, lifted top, located and removed switch held by 2 additional screws, replaced switch and reassembled. By far, the simplest and easiest repair thanks to your instructional video and speedy next day delivery. You've earned a permanent spot on my favorites list - and my wife took me out to dinner since I was able to fix it so quickly ! Thanks again ! P.S. .. already spread the word throughout my office and my community!
