It was taking alomost twice as long for a load of clothes to dry.
First I had to take the back cover off. I removed the heating element and the thermostat and replaced them with the new repairs. It was relatively simple---any handiman could do it and would not require a repairman. We talked to a salesman at Sears to see what they thought the problem could be and then got on the internet. The best part was that the repairs came within a few days of placing my order. That was super!!!

Measured resistance on thermostats & heating element. Found thermostat open so ordered replacement part and heat again.

No heat
Frist I looked on Parts Select site at there diagrams to figure out where the heating element was . After that it was easy to remove the back panel and expose the heating element box.The screw holding the element is a little hard to get too , but still easy to remove.You have to pull the box out a little to slide the element out. the only thing I did wrong was not buy both thermostates at the same time,and I had to spend a little more because the one part is not sold by itself. Over all a breeze

Dryer would not heat during cycle.
I followed the video offered by your website and it was very informative and right to the point. Was very brief and easy to follow. I ordered the parts before 10:00am and received the parts the next day with the regular shipping.Very good website others need to benchmark you. Taking 90 minutes + to dry one load
Removed the back of the dryer about 8 screws. Removed the Thermostat 250 F and replaced with new. Dries a load of clothes in one cycle on medium. Not bad for a 16 dollar part. I am a computer tech and I am used to taking computers a part but I think most people that are in anyway mechanically inclined and can look at a diagram could do this and save yourself a lot of money.

Dryer would not turn on
I am really not sure because my husband did the repair and it took him no time at all. I know he removed the back panel on the dryer, and the 2 parts were in plain site. He took the old off put on the new part. We turned the dryer on and it worked better than ever! This site is the best for home repairs. My husband was a little leary but we didn't want to buy a new dryer and we live in a remote area with no repair people, so for the low cost of these parts it was well worth it! Will diffently use this site again!!!!!!!!!!

Dryer will not,dry clothes,but drum run
Took, back cover out,but first i disconect the electricity,i give a fast look,looking for anything wrong and i saw a thermostar burn out in the element case,the bottom one,a thermostart
250 f. but a did a search in the internet,and found that when a bottom thermostart burn out, the top one had to be change,so i did a continuity text in the top one and was open ,i have it,a used one, change and connect the dryer to the Electrical outlet and (walac)it start the dryer,problem solve

Element not heating up.
Opened access door, noticed main power wire to heating element was partially melted. This was caused by a bad connection to the drying element, loose. Removed heating element assembly. Cut bad section of wire and added new connection. While doing this the thermostats plastic casing cap came off ! Probably due to exessive heat / resistance from the bad connection. This confirmed why there was no heat. Intalled new thermostat and and am now good to go !

Dryer not producing any heat
Removed rear panel after disconnecting the Power.Disconnected the fuse ,thermostat 250f, and replaced them. Then removed the old heater and installaled the new one. Then plugged in the heater and still no heat..So I have decided to replace cycling thermostat and temperature switch,which I ordered yesterday. These are the last two items that you suggest as being a cause.

Took twice as long to dry
there are four heat elements but the main one I chose to buy.Removedbacking plate then two screws holding and two wires.Replaced and wife was happy/Me too because $65 is cheaper than anew one.Also I am retired; so lots of time and very little money.

Dryeor wasn't heating
First removed the wires with a flat head screw driver then removed the screw that holds the fuse in place with a socket wrench. I then replaced the fuse in reverse order. The thermostat was a little bit harder to reach but I removed the wires with a flat head screw drive then removed the two screws that hold it in place. I placed the new thermostate and did the procedure in reverse. I have to say this company gets the product to the consumer in very quick manner. I order the part on Tuesday and had it by Thursday morning before lunch. I highly recommend this company. As far a fixing the problem figured out it was the heating element, so I ordered it on Wednesday had it by Thursday at noon. I was a little more difficulty to replace but was simple after I got started. First I removed the bracket holding the front of the element (2) screws, unscrewed the single screw holding the element in place. Pulled out the element, cleaned out the lint and undid the wiring. Placed the new element in reverse order and had heat. It works great, heating like it was new. Saved me over 600.00 for a new one and I spend a little less than 100.00 dollars for the repair and a little of my tme.

No heat
Opened up back. Cleaned out lint. Turned on. Heater element went off after 1 minute. I shorted out heat sensor and heat element and stayed on. Got new part and works fine.

i took the back of the dryer, and took the part out to repair, sent for it at parts.com. it came in three days. i put the new part in and i have a good dryer again. very simple. the internet was helpful. i am 68 year old lady.

Would not run at all. Unit was overheating before it stopped completely.
Installed fuse and two thermostat parts. Your system of correlating problem to part needed to fix the problem is a really good system.
