The upper wash assembly broke off. Then the middle wash arm tube just literally fell apart. I was concerned at first at the design changes, but I can see the wisdom in them. It only took a few minutes to repair and now it's like a new machine again. All for $20 instead of $500 or more for a new
First I took out the upper rack, unscrewed the old remains and screwed in the new part. Next, I took out the upper rack, turned it over, removed the old hanger (no longer necessary with newly designed part), unscrewed the other part, and screwed on the new part. So easy! And one more thing-I ordered my part on a Fri. and it was on my porch by the following Tues. Now THAT'S service! - Pam

Rubber hose disconnected and accidentally thrown away
This part is different than the original but works great. I used Geronimo's instructions, but cut the ring (see below) so I didn't have to glue it back together.
1-remove upper rack by removing holding clips.
2-remove old assembly from Rack
3-Use exacto knife to cut old ring guide at top between 2 hooks to accommodate new style (one solid plastic piece). No need to re-glue since the hooks hold it up okay.
4-re-install upper rack

Original 3 piece middle wash arm tube assembly fell off during cycle, landing on drying heat element. On e part of assembly remained in place. It melted to state of non-usable.
I was hesitant at buying the Matag made replacement, especially since it was one piece as compared to my 10-year old 3 piece assembly, and my dishwasher is KitchenAid. Ordered on a Sunday afternoon, had in hand Tuesday same week, one phillips head screwdriver to remove/replace. Everyone smiling! Did not need to remove upper rack. Simply unscrewed 1 screw, put on new one-piece arm, replaced with same screw. 15 minutes! Good price/delivery.

The rubber end of the middle wash arm tube broke and melted when it fell onto the heating element
I unscrewed the wash arm tube from the agitator, and then unhooked the plastice holders that held the arm tube, pulling those parts out of the dishwasher. I took the new (one piece!) wash arm tube in hand and then realized that I would have to cut the plastic holder in half because there was no way to get the new (1 piece) arm tube through the plastic holder. I cut the plastic holder in half, fit it around the arm tube, and super glued the holder back together, allowing it to dry for several hours just to be safe. After that, I simply screwed the entire thing back on, and we were good to go. It could not have been easier, except for the unexpectedness of have to cut the plastic holder. Saved us probably at least $100 worth of service call and parts.

Tube had a hole/ maybe from heat
I needed a #3 screwdriver. Cut the top of the ring of the tube holder, one snip from a pair of side cutters. Unscrew the old tube, screw in the new one, the old tube holder works fine with the cut in it . I didn't need to remove the top rack. Done.

The 'nozzle' end of the arm tube fell into the bottom of the dishwasher, and was partially melted by the heating element.
One screw was taken out, the old arm removed, the new one put in place, then attached to the new arm tube holder. TADA!!!! Done. I am a widow, and think I saved about $75.00 doing this job myself. Thank you.

The original, detachable hose portion developed a hole and needed replacement
Pretty simple. Hardest part was working the end clips of the slide to remove top rack. You simply need to squeeze the plastic clip in to slide it out. Once the top rack is out, it was an obvious philips head screw removal and new part replacement.

Dishes were not completely clean
removed the clips from the upper rack. Removed the rack, turned it upside down on my kitchen table. Unscrewed the damaged tube replaced the new tube. Put the rack on the tracks and replaced the clips. Ta Da. I'm a hero. So easy even a almost 70 year old Grandma could do it. Thank you so much. Your web site made it so easy for me.

Old tube had deteriorated, come apart.
I removed the top rack, unscrewed the old tube assembly. The new tube assembly fit properly, the only problem was that it would not fit through the old hanger. I corrected this problem by cutting the top of the hanger with my pocket knife. It works great.
