Top part of agitator (auger) was not turning
Using kit 285587 was straight forward. Removed fabric softener dispenser & sealing cap. It took more time to find the socket set (needed a 7/16 socket) with a long driver (10 inch) than to unscrew & remove the auger & agitator. Cleaned up the bowl whilst it was apart (good buildup of junk under the agitator). Replaced agitator, new thrust washer to find that grease should be applied but isn't included in kit (get part not 350849). Grrr.... Applied new auger, cam, dogs and holder. (No instructions in kit for assembling cam, dogs & holder, but you can work it out ok). Applied new bolt & washer, new seal on cap. Installed fabric softener. Could have been a 15 minute job but peace and quiet in the garage makes it worthy of taking longer ;-)

Agitator stopped spinning, so clothes weren't getting clean.
First I removed the liquid fabric softener cover, then removed the seal with my fingers, then used a socket with an extension to remove the single bolt that holds the agitator to the spindle.
Next, I pulled up to remove the agitator and tipped it upside down to take out the centrifugal mechanism. Then, I simply replaced the old parts with the new ones, and put it back together, as it shows in the included diagram. It took about fifteen minutes.
I was glad to be able to go online, and quickly locate the exact parts our machine needed, at a reasonable price! Our machine now works like new again.

Wash cycles worked normal but agitator would not rotate clothes
I ordered my parts from partselect and had them at my door the following day (AWESOME!) I removed the dispensor on the top of the agitator and reached inside to remove the protective cover to the cams/bearing area. I then removed the center bolt (7/16) and lifted the agitator off the shaft. Replaced the parts I ordered (Part Number: PS334650 Agitator repair kit, and replaced the Upper Agitator Part Number: PS342399) Everything fit perfectly and the instructions were quite simple. Washer now works like a charm and I didn't have to replace my washer. I was very impressed and surprised with the delivery time of my order. I will definitely use this website again for any appliance repairs I need. MrL 11/2010

Agitator didn't move the clothes
Pop off the softener dispenser. Use a socket with a long extension to remove the bolt inside agitator. Important - save the old parts so you can assemble the new agitator kit! Put it back together and tighten the bolt. I fixed it myself and saved $150 trip charge for a repairman! Thank you!

Cam dogs worn out and the agitator wouldn't rotate.
Removed softner dispenser on top of agitator. Removed next was cap and seal cover at base of the agitator by just pulling it up. Used 1/4" drive w/ 7/16" socket w/long extension to remove the agitator mounting bolt. While holding the bottom of the auger, pull the agitator up, removing the top agitator assembly. Replace the necessary worn parts. Read the directions which came with your ordered parts. Also, the agitator grease which you are to use to lube the top of the Thrust washer is not included in the repair kit. You can use non water soluable grease to lube the thrust washer or order part number 350849. Total time, 15 minutes. Happy washing...
