Knobs were broken so burners could not be turned on.

I simply removed old broken knobs and snapped new ones in place. I have been unable to find another cooktop that I like as well, and now mine works good as new, although it is 30 years old!!!

Not sure, knob disappeard , small child?

Well all I had to do was line up the slot and push on exhaust fan stem, but when I did the on/off switch for the exhaust fan broke. Go figure. I had to put more pressure than I wanted, but after the fact I looked and the hole in the new button is just a hair smaller or tighter than the stem. So have ordered another switch. Who knows, anyway make sure to look the hole size over. If I had, i could off sanded it down some. The main thing thou is not to push to hard down, with out holding it with needle nose pliers, or the switch with come apart/break when to much forse is applied.
