Top of washer will not agitate

Followed the instruction and was straight forward. Had a real hard time getting the center nut off with one hand and prevent the bottom from spinning with the other hand. In the end, sat on the washer with both legs in the washer holding on the bottom while use both hand to remove the nut. It was real tight. Anyway, this was my lesson learned. The other steps are easy to do

Agitator did not turn

I opened the agitator's top, removed the plastic lid. Then I removed the bolt with the socket. Next, I removed the old agitator set and cleaned the area. I applied some white grease to the area the directional cogs work. I set the new kit and tight the bolt again. Finally, I put the rest of the parts back. It worked!

Top part of agitator (clothes mover) was not turning

I removed the fabric softener dispenser exposing the cap. I was able to grab the "handles" and pull it out of the agitator. Then I used a long extension with a 7/16 inch socket and removed the screw and washer. With a little gentle wiggling and pulling the clothes mover lifted off. The inside of the clothes mover had a build-up of old softener and detergent which I cleaned out with an old toothbrush and hot water in the kitchen sink.

I had read that the repair kit included everything you needed except for the grease. I was glad I ordered the kit because I did not realize that the thrust spacer on my machine was worn out as well. The included instructions guided me through the reassembly very well. The hardest part of the whole process was getting the screw and washer back into the hole after the clothes mover assembly was inserted into the agitator.

This was an easy repair. Cleaning gunk out of the clothes mover took longer than the actual repair.

I was very pleased with the delivery speed from PartSelect. The parts were exactly what I needed and now the washer is washing clothes like new again.

Agitator started to make a popping noise and the top would not turn.

Took the fabric softner dispenser off and removed the water barrier seal and removed the bolt. Lifted the entire agitator off and laid the parts out how they came off the washer. took out the new partns and lined them up next to the old ones and replaced. Put the agitator back together and slid it into place on the washer and tightened the bolt. Then I replaced the O-ring on the water barrier and pushed it into place. Works fine.

Only one part of the two part agitator worked

I removed the softener dispenser and the cap from the center of the agitator. With a socket set I removed the bolt holding the agitator. pulled off the agitator. I could see the worn "ratchet fingers". I ordered the parts and two days later received them. Following the enclosed instructions I fixed it. First time I have ever fixed anything on a washer.

Agitator was not working cam dogs were broke off

Repair was quite easy, I followed the instructions sent with the repair kit, even thow I pretty much knew what to do because I had had it all apart to find out what the problem was. First took screwdriver and gently pryed off softner dispenser, pulled out cap and seal, remove agitator bolt pull up on auger, remove old agitator cam and replace with new, reassemble unit. the repair kit was received quickly from Parts Select and for what I feel was a good price, thank you!

Auger slipping/noise

Noticed a clunking sound in the washer, and got worried that I needed a new washer. I watched the washer in motion and noticed the auger slipping. I took the auger/agitator assembly apart and inspected the parts (dogs completely worn). Did a a Google search for my make/model replacement parts - and PartSelect popped up. I read the repair stories on my washer and purchased the Agitator Repair Kit. I received the kit four days later and began the install.

The included directions tell you everything. The toughest part for me was pulling the bearing down on the agitator cam - I just didn't want to break the plastic bearing.

No more noise, and the auger is working just fine. A quick and simple fix, and with purchasing the repair kit, I also replaced a couple other parts that showed signs of wear compared to the new ones.

Agitator would not push clothes down

Overall, the repair went very easy. About the biggest problem was figuring out how to remove the plastic cap which allows access to the long bolt which holds the entire agitator assembly the motor shaft. But once it was disassembled the rest of the repair was very straightforward. The repair instructions which came with the repair kit was very helpful.
