Upper agitator not turning
Simple repair. Removed bolt holding agitator and pulled up on the upper agitator. Depending on how old the washer is, you may have to use a rubber mallet to break upper agitator free. Installed new cam kit and problem was fixed.

Upper agitator not working
I removed the top part by hand (where additives go), reached in and removed the inner cover by pinching it and picking it up. With a socket wrench, I removed the nut, then jiggled the whole thing until it came off. I took the complete agitator (upper and lower) out of the washing machine, then took it apart on a table. I noticed the cam had broken pieces in it so I ordered the complete cam package (under $7). If I ever do this again, I will take several pictures with my digital camera because I wasn't sure if certain parts were to be replaced upright or downwards since they appeared to go either way. Fortunately, there were other descriptions posted that helped me do this correctly...not to mention the diagrams provided by PartSelect. With this information, I put it back together and the washing machine works great! I highly recommend PartSelect! One more thing...I got my parts in only 2 days, so we weren't without a washer very long.

Top agitator wasn't turning
1. Removed softner dispenser. 2. Remover plastic cover that protects agitator bolt. 3. Used 3/8 inch drive with 6 inch extension and 7/16 socket to remove agitator bolt. 4. Removed whole agitator assembly. 5. Removed top agitator from bottom agitator. NOTE: This required alot of force due to age of machine. 6. Removed cam assembly. 7. Installed new cam assembly. 8. Reversed steps to re-assemble. Note: Before I installed the plastic cover for agitator bolt, I cleaned the O-ring and mating surface to ensure a good seal.
Very easy job ....washer works as designed.

Noticed top portion of the agitater was not spinning
First I removed the fabric softener dispenser, next was a seal cap. Under the cap you find the cam-agit and a bolt which secures the whole assembly to the main shaft. Once you remove the bolt the whole agitater assembly will slide right off you then pop out the old cam-agit and replace with new. Very simple

Clothes mover would not turn while agitator worked fine
Like most said, I had to pull very hard to separate the clothes mover (auger) from the agitator. I tried to remove the bolt from the center column, but it didn't fall out immediately so I figured I would just take it out after I seperated the two peices. BIG MISTAKE! When the clothes mover finally popped off with a great deal of force, the bolt and rubber washer went flying. And I was in the laundry room with clothes everywhere. So it took me about 20-30 minutes going through all the clothes in the room to find the bolt. So try a little harder than I did to romove the bolt before you seperate the the two main pieces. Other than that, it was a very simple repair. You just need to have the right tool - a hex-shaped socket on an extension arm to reach into the center column and loosen the bolt after getting to it.

Cam wouldn't come loose
The cam in the agitator of the Whirlpool Ultimate Care II (LSQ7533JQ0) was a little different than the instructions and videos I could find on the web. The difference is that the cam has tabs that keep the cam in place with the agitator. I had to try to pry the tabs loose enough so that when I stood on the agitator base and then pulled up on the part of the agitator that pulls the clothes down, only then would the cam finally pop loose. Once I was able to do that, everything was easy to replace.

Our severely overused washer was not agitating properly
After calling my brother in law, who repairs appliances professionally, he told me my "DOGS" were bad....after explaining I didn't have a dog anymore, he told me what I needed. I called Part Select.com they sent me a picture of what I needed. I compared it to my tired old dogs, ordered it and took the least expensive shipping..to my surprise it was on my doorstep the next day! install instructions included! I will definitely recommend Parts Select.com and will certainly use them and my brother in law again I am sure!!

Washer stopped agitating when full of clothes
Watched one load of clothes go through and suspected the drive mechanism for agitator was shot. So jumped on computer and googled it. PartSelect.com came up! put part number in and up came parts diagram and repair stories on how to take it apart. Followed their instructions so I pulled cap seal off and loosened agitator nut took assembly apart and seen the cams were worn. Ordered it on line, ~ 1/2 of what other sites offered and was here in 2 days! Great service & repair instructions!

Top part of the agitator wasn't agitating.
After reading one of the reviews on this website, I decided to order the parts and do it myself. I removed the softener cup. Reached inside and pulled up on plastic cover. Used socket with extension to remove bolt while holding base with the other hand, Pulled up on top of agitator and it came came out exposing the Agitator cam bearing and directional cogs. These lifted right out and were very easily replace with the new parts. It took me longer to clean the old fabric softener and detergent off the upper and lower agitators than it did to do the actual repair. This website is great!

I am so glad that I found this site!! We had our washing machine looked at by a repair guy that wanted to charge us $90 +labor to repair the agitator. I looked on this site and found the parts and how to fix it myself. It cost me $6.52!!!! I can't believe that he was going to charge me for the agitator when all it was, was the dog ear cams!
Thanks again!

Top of agitator not turning
The whole process is almost intuitive if you have taken things apart before. Pull up on the softener dispenser and remove it. Reach into the center of the agitator post, grip the handles on the sealing disc, twist and pull to remove. This exposes the bolt holding the agitator down. Use an 11mm socket and an extension to remove the bolt. Pull the assembly in one piece. Separate the top from the bottom carefully, remove the cam assembly from the top section. Place the new asssembly in its place and reassemble the agitator in the reverse order. When reinserting the sealing disc, clean the surfaces carefully, coat the O-ring with liwuid soap, and twist the disc while pressing down to ensure a good seal.

Top part of agitator stopped working
Pull off the fabric softener dispenser. Removed the plastic seal. Use a socket and extension to remove the bilt and lift off the lower agitator. You may need to have a helper hold the lower agitator while you loosen the bolt. Remove the agitator from the machine. Use a flat bladed screw driver to break off the 4 small white tabs on the clear lock ring and remove the old parts. Install the new parts and re-install the agitator.
