Top of agitator wasn't moving properly
(For those who have a weird sunken plastic cube slot instead of a nut or screw to remove) The dog teeth were worn down. Generally this is an easy repair. It happened once before to me with a Whirlpool and I knew immediately what I needed to do. HOWEVER, when I popped the plastic cap off the top of the agitator (this model doesn't have the fab softener dispenser) what I found was a surprise. It wasn't an 11mm nut, it wasn't a screw, it was an inverted cubed slot made of plastic (not sure what those are called) that looked like it needed a 3/4 - 1 inch socket drive to go into it. I had nothing that would fit in there to get any leverage to loosen it up. Frustrated, I began grabbing everything I could find to shove in there that I thought might grab to no avail. In pure desperation I grabbed my wife's garden shears (the common little hand-held kind that curve at the end) and it was the perfect size to wedge in just enough to grab the corners of the cubed-shape slot. It took just a little force to loosen and I was able to unscrew it by hand after that. Then the repair was just as it normally is. Remove the top piece of the agitator, remove the spring piece and slip the plastic part up to remove the dog teeth. Replace, put back together in reverse order.

Agitator did not work
Took the assembly apart, replaced the little plastic cogs that had dried out in storage while I was stationed in Italy and broke apart upon use when I returned. Works like it did when it was new now! It was easy with the detailed pictures and easy ordering. Shipped quick and was overall a great experience.

Machine would not agitate properly and noisy dryer
took off fabric softener dispenser. used socket to remove agitator. Cleaned and then replaced the little plastic dog ears...works like brand new! It took 15 minutes or less.
Also repaired noisy dryer. replaced drum rollers, pulley and belt. The job took about an hour and was real simple. However..the dryer was still noisy. Fixed with a prybar to force drum to be tighter. It now sounds like brand new.

Upper agitator would not agitate.
The cam kit itself did not fit. However, the dog ears could be swapped out. It's cheaper to buy the set separately, they're fairly universal. Part number: PS388034

Agitator would not work
I popped off the softener dispenser and there was a plastic piece under it that just popped off too. There was the nut, I unscrewed it with my extention and socket then pulled the old agitator out. I actually didn't need the inside I just needed the four little pieces outside that catch the agitator and won't let it go backwards. I dropped them in and when I got everything back together it had only taken about 15 minutes and wa la good as new. Not bad for an old woman eay? And it sure bets $300 for a new washer! Thanks for having the part here next day too guys, great work!!

Dogs on cam assembly worn out
Easy Repair!! Remove the Fabric Sofetener dispenser from the top of the agitator. Beneath that, remove the plastic cover over the cam assembly. Use an 11mm socket to remove the agitator. After removal, pull it apart to reveal the cam. simply replace the dogs and reverse the process to reassemble. NOTE: YOU MAY NEED A LONG SOCKET EXTENSION TO GET DOWN INTO THE 11mm BOLT.
