Broken dryer door latch.

Fantastic site and service !!! Using your site, I i'd my needed part in about 10 minutes. I received my Whirlpool dryer door latch part from you in less than 12 hours. Per your internet site instructions, I replaced the part in a few seconds (just popped it into the slot) and my wife had a working dryer for her Sunday wash. The dryer door kept popping open while in use.

I googled the problem, then came across a site where somebody had experienced the same problem, and they changed the door catches to resolve it. I did a search for Whirlpool parts and found "partselect.com". I followed the instructions on the website and located the parts very easily and also discovered that there was a video on how to make this repair. We were tolerating this problem for quite some time and now the problem is resolved, thank you...

Part of the dryer door latch fell out and was lost. Needed to replace it.

When I ordered the part, I viewed the installation video. That was a key step for me. It told me how to identify the correct part (there are multiple latch pieces in the repair kit, and one of them matches the type of door for the dryer), and how to disassemble the door to get the part installed. When the part came and I installed it, it turned out that I could snap the part in by hand, with no tools. It took about 5 seconds to try it, and it worked.

The latch on my dryer door wasn't working. I was having to shove a towel in the door to get it to stay shut until I was able to repair it.

All I had to do was get the model number off of the dryer and plug that information in online and within a couple of days the part arrived. It was great! There were directions that came with the part that explained how to replace the old latch with the new one.

I remember in the "olden days" when I would of had to call a repair guy out and paid a lot more than the $12.00 I did to replace the part myself. And, the only reason it was $12.00 dollars instead of $5-6 was because I had it shipped overnight.

Dryer door wouldn't shut

The door catch kit is soo easy. They give you instructions on which one to use depending on your dryer and it fit perfectly into the door. This was great especially since it was so inexpensive! My husband thought we would have to replace the door.

Plastic door latch was cracked.

I removed the plastic latch using a screw driver to pry it out. I had to use pliers to completely remove it. Then I snapped the new piece in. It worked perfectly the first time. Very easy repair.

Clothes were taking to long to dry.

First I removed the nuts from to get the back of the dryer off (I think there were 8 or so). Then I removed the cycling thermostat (careful to watch were the wires were), I ten installed the new one. I then did the same with the thermal cut-off and the heating element. The door catch kit wasn't what I needed so I didn't install it.
If I would have known it was going to be so easy I would have done this repair months ago!!!

Super easy repair. Funny to think I almost called to have it serviced before I found the Door Catch Kit. The original catch had actually fell into the door so when I got the new part it simply snapped in no tools needed!
