Water dispenser lever broke

Fairly straight forward remove and replace. Tight limitations made it a little difficult but universal joint for socket set allow the best access to the screw that held the lever in place. Replacing the spigot onto the water line was a concern. The fit was so tight you must take care not to damage the plastic line.

The water dispensing lever was cracked.

1.Turn off the water supply.

2.Removed the front cover where the ice and water is dispensed.
3.Removed the black plate over the dispensing area to allow more working room. ( 3 flat head screws)
4.Removed the 2 phillips screws holding the end of the water dispensing tube. This will allow you to get the dispensing arm over the water tube.
5. Removed the screw that holds the spring in place.
6. Its real tricky, but you have to place the spring onto the arm so that the tension will cause the arm to move forward when released, shuting off the flow of water. At the same time replace the screw thats holds the spring in place.
7. Reattache the 2 crews holding the end of the dispensing tube, the 3 screws holding the black plate, replace the front cover, turn the water back on and have yourself a cool drink of water.

Broken water dispenser, shelf supports broken

one screw fixed the water dispenser. The screws were more difficult to remove.
Your website would be more helpful if you had a larger diagram of the shelf supports. It was difficult to locate the exact supports needed. I actually bought one I didn't need as a package of two.
My refigerator was manufactured in 1990. I bought it new. I have had no proplems with the refigerator or freezer. The broken water dispenser and shelf supports are the only repairs. If the company had made the dispenser and shelf supports out of metal they would not have broken. There is too much weight on the brackets in the crisper because it is such a large contained area Otherwise I am very happy with my refigerators performance.

Water dispenser arm broken

Actually I disassembled the whole door mechanism so that I could give it a good cleaning.
I ordered the part from you folks because you show a picture of the part and also have a scale (grid) in the photo so that I knew that I had the correct part coming. When the new part arrived, it took about 15 minutes to install it and it works like it did when it was new. The photos of the parts are very important to me.

Broken dispenser arm

First removed the door interior panel and door seal. Then discovered that without removing the door insulation and the entire ice and water dispenser assembly, I would have no better access to the screws holding the water dispenser arm. since the screwdriver had to be reinserted every half turn it was tedious but possible to remove the dispenser arm bearing support. Replacing with a phillips-head fastener made it much easier to reinstall the support.
