The shelf studs were broken and needed to be replaced. Searching online as to how to remove a number of sources said to turn stud 90deg counter-clockwise to remove. These studs needed to be turned 180 degrees. Once studs were out obvious this needed to be done. Re-insert of studs were easy.Replacement of studs were easy.

I removed the old shelf which had the roller assembly built into it, for the drawer below. I placed the new one in, and then realized that the new one had no glass shelf. Easy enough, I though, just pull off the old one. At that point, I realized the old one was held on with 2 plastic pieces, one on each end. The front one was easy to remove, and the glass then slipped out easily. But, the back one, was not so easy. It was a little like a chinese puzzle, needing to be lifted and twisted in just the right way, with a thin screwdriver or knife, all the while one slip or overtorque away from breaking. You then had to remember exactly what you did, and do it in reverse in order to get it onto the new frame. Easier, but not easy. There were 2 other seals than need to be moved from the old frame assembly to the new, before it could be installed. I guess I'd like to see instructions for making this switch included in the box, and for the price, it should come with new plastic pieces and rubber seals, vs. having to use the old ones. Not including the glass, I get, but the rest surprised me. Either way, most capable people will be able to do this, just keep the above in mind, and take your time with that back plastic piece.
following the description and recommendations posted by another customer who had the same problem as ours, we were fore warned of the problems of getting the seals off the glass shelf. We agreed with the previous post by a customer that for the price of the part, new seals should come with the shelf bracket.Prying the seals off the old roller assembly without damaging them was a bit tricky. We washed them unit in very warm water which helped soften them a bit before trying to pry them off. The repair was very successful and we thank the person who posted the advice about replacing this part.
I ordered two frames, but needed only one. The lower shelf has a different frame. The return department was friendly and efficient.Removing the glass and placing it into the new frame was easy because I read these comments from other people. Soak the old frame in hot water, loosen the rubber strip with a dull knife (there's dried dirt in there) to get it out. removing one of the rubber pieces from the old frame and putting it on the new one was a little cofusing, but went fine. Agree with earlier comments: please include that part with the new frame.
