Why is cube ice stuck in between flap and chute

Hi Sheldon,
Thank you for your question. If ice is getting stuck in the chute the underlying reason why this is happening is the flapper does not open wide enough and it also is having a problem sealing with the inner door chute. If the chute door is not opening, the problem could be a defective or stuck solenoid or it may not be getting any voltage to it. The solenoid will need to be checked. I hope this helps. Dispenser is not making ice but the water dispenser will still dispense water.

Hi Tracy, thank you for asking. The issue is most probably with the ice and water filter, part number PS11701542. Before replacing it, we would recommend checking the clogging of the water tubes and the continuity of the water inlet valve. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Hello Lenny, Thank you for your inquiry. The auger is designed to break up any ice clumps and keep this from happening. If the auger is not breaking up the ice, it could be an issue with the ice blades or auger motor. Check as well to see if any warm air could be getting in through the dispenser and causing the ice to clump. We hope this helps.

If that does not help, we would recommend checking the dispenser chute door, part number PS11739035, and the auger motor, part number PS11739113, to fix the issue. Thanks for your question. You may want to test the water inlet valve for continuity with a multimeter and replace it if it shows no continuity. If the valve is fine, consider replacing the water filter or the icemaker itself.

Currently the ice dispenser, water dispenser and the light in the door are not working. I tested continuity for the 4 switches and they are good. I then tested the water valves, one(ice maker) tested continuity and one(ice dispenser) did not. Though suspicious, i assumed that was part of the problem and ordered one from you. New one tested the same so it was not .... i installed it anyway. still all three door operations are inoperable. seems like an electrical issue/fuse ... can you offer any suggestions so i can order what i need or perform more testing. thank you much! micky
