Broken cooler shelves in my refridgerator.

My Hotpoint fridge did not have working cooler shelves due to years of service. I was able to remove the slide drawer rails, install the new rails, and replace the drawers. It works great! PS: Clean the fridge first to make the job easier and to make a wonderful presentation when you show your hard work to your wife!!!

Broken rails

Easy removal with screwdriver;tro ubleshot causal effect of [ metal] screw against {plastic] rail which caused break. My solution;took bike inner-tube, sissor-cut and fashioned small 'gasket' washers to soften contact points on both inner & outer sides of rails. Touched up rusty area around screw-holes within fridge with sandpaper & rust-inhibiting spray paint good to go! Thanks for this opportunity to share a preventative solution / upgrade!
