Sorry, we couldn't find any existing installation instruction that matched.
There was a warm spot at the front edge of dividing wall. The fan motor was not working.
I followed the directions of Steve on the installation video. He makes it easy to do the repair with his step by step description of the installation. I have repaired three different aging appliances with help of Steve and PartSelect's very helpful Customer Service.
I wish Steve a wonderful retirement and hope PartSelect can find someone as easy to follow for future videos. The videos are priceless for the repairs.

Fan would not turn when the refrigerator came on all the time. Would physically have to turn the fan blades.
Did not do the repair because the unit arrived damaged. The packaging was in good condition. The plastic around the plug in shattered, and some of the plastic was inside the motor. Very good, and fast on adjusting the order.

Fan had quit; needed replacement.
The fan was the correct part. It arrived one day after my well trained son-in-law had left for Texas. I had to install the motor myself. He had trained me well; it was not hard. the most difficult was getting the two tabs on the fan housing to fit back into the frame of the refrigerator where they belonged. Thanks. the part & delivery were overpriced, but I needed seed and convenience. Thanks for getting it right the first time.

Panel hot to touch between freezer & refrigerator. Motor hot, fan not rotating.
Unplugged refrigerator, removed three screws to take out part, disconnected the wires and removed bad unit. Removed fan blade from old unit and attached to the new unit. Attached wires, placed the new motor back in. Plugged it back in, within 20 minutes panel between freezer and refrigerator was cool to touch.

Noisey Motor, Bearings Out, Dying
Remove back cover, exposing fan motor. Turn off power, remove nut on fan blades. Remove fan carefully, do not bend. Unhook wiring harness. Remove three screws that hold the motor on the back frame. Remove old motor, install new. Carefully, reinstall fan blades, hook up wiring, and your ready for tryout. Also do some cleaning while your there. Clean old fan blades with hot soapy water or contact cleaner. Everything runs better clean!

Compressor overheating - Fridge not Cooling
Condensor Fan not turning. I thought it would be an easy fix. I thought I could pull off the shroud and fan assy - no joy. Too many copper pipes and lots of tubing in the way. It took 90 minutes to remove and 30 minutes to install. The BIG hint here is to loosen the shoud, pull it back as far as you can and then remove the nut that holds the fan blade in place. THEN you can remove the motor. Get the new motor back into the shroud, get the blade back on and then tighten the shroud back up.

Condenser fan what is direction air flow? Out of refrigerator ? Or in to refrigerator ?
For model number tbx16sazgrwh
PartSelect logo
Hi Victor, Thank you for the great question, the condenser fan circulates the air through the refrigerator grille and cools the compressor and condenser coils. It also helps to evaporate extra water in the drain pan. So it will blow air into the appliance. Hope this helps!

How do I test the old Condenser fan motor to determine if it is bad?
For model number ZICS36nabrh
PartSelect logo
Hi Raymond, thank you for getting in touch. To determine if the condenser fan motor is defective, try turning the fan motor blade by hand. If the blade does not spin freely, the condenser fan motor is defective. If no obstructions are present and the fan blade spins freely, use a multimeter to test the fan motor for continuity. Ensure the multimeter is in the ohm setting. Touch probes to the two motor terminals. An infinite multimeter reading indicates an open circuit. A zero reading signifies a short circuit, and if the reading falls between zero and infinite, your fan motor is working properly. We hope this information helps!
