Water leak
The inlet valve on my Frig had compression fittings, very easy to use. The part I recieved was threaded, very difficult to find the correct fitting for water line hose 3/8 on inlet side 5/8 on hose side. In the end, I cleaned up old valve, bought a new braided line for house service to frig and the leak has stopped. Not sure if cleaning valve or new line fixed issue but no leaks. Company shipped part as directed with no issues. Thanks, Dave

Water leaking from fridge
removed rear cover then I removed screw holding water valve to gain access to electrial wires marked wire location and unpluged wires to valve I then unscrewed the incoming water line and used a razor knife to cut water lines off just above valves. I then installed the two water lines to the new valve and installed the main water line. I then reattached the electrical wires and screwed the valve back to the fridge checked for leaks and reattached the rear cover. less than 30 minutes

Leaky valve
I looked at the photos of the valves posted on the PartSelect website and selected what I thought was the right one. It came in the mail within a couple of days and it was not the right one ... the electrical connectors were very slightly different. I went back online and determined that I had better telephone the service number as there were four valves that, upon further inspection, looked pretty much the same ... and it's good that I did! The service guy looked up my refrigerator model number and told me I needed part XYW even though I thought part KLM looked more like the old valve. The part came the next day - amazing shipping time - and I installed the new valve and life is good!
