Ice make auger rusted, unable to serve clean ice.
Replacement auger and ice bucket assembly was perfect. Just had to remove the front door/flap assembly from the old unit and screw on to the new. The water filter kit took more time to read the box instructions than it did to install. Perfect. Am very pleased with the service/value offered by PartSelect.

Replace icemaker
I slid the old ice maker (which was rusty) out of the freezer. I emptied the ice cubes. I unscrewed the 3 screws holding the plate to the old ice maker. I attached the original plate to the new ice maker/ auger unit with 2 screws. The new icemaker assembly did not match up with a 3rd screw hole. The 2 screws seem to be holding securely. I reinserted the new assembly. Shorly after this nice clean ice cubes began to form. Works very well!

The original ice auger jammed and destroyed the original icemaker
The replacement part was an exact fit and slipped right into the space where the old one was. No tools needed.

Part of my ice bucket assembly had broken off
All I did was take the old bucket out,, which had been frozen to the base, and I had to thaw out, by turning the refrigarater off , and use a hair dryer to melt the ice, after that I unscreewed the outer face of the old bucket, and replsced it to the new bucket

The auger and ice bucket assembly was worn out and rusty
I simply removed the screws holding the plastic face plate to the old auger/ice bucket and attached it to the new one. It was a simple procedure

The auger in the ice became rusty
Once I received the New part, I simply removed the old one, unscrew the door assembly off of the old one and reinstall it on the new one using only 4 screws. Then simply pluged in the New Ice Bucket. If it were any easier, My Kids would have done it.
