The water pump becomes very noisy

This is the second time in the same 7 year old appliance. Remove the front bottom cover by removing 2 screws. Then remove the 2 screws holding the pump down. Then unclip the electrical wire from the pump and remove both hoses from the pump by squeezing the spring clamps with a pliers. Have a pan to collect the water that will drain from the lines. Take the new pump and install it in reverse order from above.

Hard to detect leak that caused floor damage

After pulling the appliance out and repairing the laminate floor. It was not apparent that there was any major leak. No puddles of water or moist areas in the washer drain compartment. After reloading with clothes and starting there was a very tiny drip in the trap boot around the back side due to a wire from a bra poking through. After removal of trap and drain pump. Both were replaced. Incidentially another underwire was found in the drum area and over three dollars in change in the trap. Watch for water when removing drain hose and have plenty of towels ready. Channel locks work well on the clamps, and electrical is easily removed from the pump.
