Knob would not engage, had to manually turn outer ring to start washer.
Used a screw driver and needle nose pliers to remove clip from behind the timer knob. Took 2 minutes to remove clip, i admit it was a little tricky but once you get a grip on the clip very easily removed. Replaced with new knob, old knob gear was completley stripped . put the new clip on and presto, Like brand new.A normal service call would of ran me 45.00 just to tell me what was wrong with the machine.

Timer knob had broken
First off, the repair part arrived in only two days. The schematic was very detailed and accurate on your web site. Once the part arrived and removed from the bag, it was a snap to install with just a needle nosed pliers. Total time was less than 5 minutes. This was the first time I had used PartSelect and you can bet I'll be back. Thanks again. Gary K. in IN.

Timer was loose
had to replace the timer assy. the removal of the clip on the back of the timer knob was a little tricky. i removed the 4 torx screws from the top of the washer. disconnected the gang plug from the timer assy. reinstalled timer, gang plug, reinstalled top panel and put on new knobs. total time was 10 minutes. if all repairs could be this easy i would change professions

The timer knob broke on the washer
I pulled off the broken part and popped on the new knob. I probably spent less than 5 minutes fixing the problem. Super easy.

Broke the knob off my mother-in-law's washer
It was really easy. I removed the broken part of the knob from the metal center knob assembly. Cleaned out the "teeth" of the inner knob assembly to remove any debris from the plastic part that broke. I made sure that the metal center knob assembly was pulled out all the way (using the pliers). I inserted the new knob making sure that the knob lined up with the arrow on the dial. Then turned it slightly to ensure that the "teeth" fit together properly. While holding the handle in place, I used the pliers to slide the clip into the slot to keep the knob in place. Once it clicked into place... I was DONE!

The selecter knob broke off.
I simply ordered the new part from Parts Select.com. It arrived quickly. I opened the package and easily pushed the knob onto the selecter. Opening the package was harder to do than the actual repair.

The knob broke off. We glued it on but it still didnt work right. We still had to manually turn the dial. When I saw this site it showed a diagram and I figured out what was wrong.
JUST TOOK THE DAIL OFF AND PUT THE KNOB ON AND SLID THE CLIP ON. IT WAS HARDER TO TAKE THE GLUE OFF THAT WE PUT ON THE KNOB!!

Tub would not drain.
Unplugged the washer. Drained the tub by removing the rear drainage hose. Reattached the drainage hose. Removed the front panel of the washer using a putty knife to get at the two release points under the top lid. Removed the two electrical clips on the pump. Removed the two clips that held the drainage hoses on either side of the pump using a set of channel lock pliers. Slid off the drainage hoses. Removed the two mounting screws that held the pump in place. Attached the two drainage hoses using the two clips. This took a while to get a good seal. Screwed the two mounting screws back in to hold the pump in place. Plugged the electrical connections back in. Plugged the washer back in. Tested everything. Put front panel of the washer back on. Also replaced the Timer Knob assembly. The whole thing took about an hour including running the test.

Broken timer knob on ge profile washer
could not have been easier. It took a pair of pliers and a few minutes time to remove the remaining portion of the old knob from the spindle. Then simply push the new knob into place.worked perfectly

Timer knob actuator teeth broke (behind knob)
Replaced the knob. Identified the appropriate knob which was easy because of the drawings on your site (PS271124 Timer Knob with Clip). Ordered knob, arrived the next day. Slipped the knob on the washing maching controller. Perfect.....took 2-seconds.
