It was a snap to put on the new timer knob. HOWEVER, I have no idea how to set it in the right spot to correspond to the various wash cycles! So, starting a load of laundry begins with a little exercise in which I set the temperature to hot and turn the knob to multiple settings until I get hot water filling the tub. Then, I know where I am on the circle and I switch the water to the proper setting and start the laundry.
The timer knob is not to blame :-)

Broke theteeth off the stem of the dial so it wouldn't allow selection of start/ load size etc.
Part came in after a couple days and it was a simple push on to the stem and it was done! Not the most difficult fix. Getting the right part first time was the best part!

Control knob dial was broke
Used needle nose pliers to pull out clip on control knob. Removed control knob. Removed broken pieces of the dial the were still on the metal wand. Inserted new dial in the correct place. Put on new knob. Done!
Removed old clip and remnants of old shaft. The key is.to keep the clip in the new knob and push it over the cycle shaft.

The dial broke off due to husband overloading the washer. Agitator came off it's spindle which caused the dial to snap
Took back panel off dial section and luckly slide dial mechanism back onto it's bracket and tightened it down. Closed panel section back up. Clipped new dial part on front panel and it worked!

The inner ring behind the knob was cracked
I read all the other inputs before I started the job. It was a very simple repair.
could not have been easier. It took a pair of pliers and a few minutes time to remove the remaining portion of the old knob from the spindle. Then simply push the new knob into place.worked perfectly

Timer knob actuator teeth broke (behind knob)
Replaced the knob. Identified the appropriate knob which was easy because of the drawings on your site (PS271124 Timer Knob with Clip). Ordered knob, arrived the next day. Slipped the knob on the washing maching controller. Perfect.....took 2-seconds.

Timer knob had broken
First off, the repair part arrived in only two days. The schematic was very detailed and accurate on your web site. How do i insert the clip?

Hi Robert,
Thank you for your inquiry. Here is a repair story from one of our customers that you can reference, "Used a screw driver and needle nose pliers to remove clip from behind the timer knob. Took 2 minutes to remove clip, i admit it was a little tricky but once you get a grip on the clip very easily removed. Replaced with new knob, old knob gear was completely stripped . put the new clip on and presto, Like brand new. A normal service call would of ran me 45.00 just to tell me what was wrong with the machine." I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
