Unplugged washing machine from wall. Removed screws from top of control panel and lifted it forward. Removed knobs. Unplugged timer. Unscrewed bolts holding timer and lifted the old timer out. Inserted the new timer in the slots and tightened the bolts. Plugged the timer in. Lift the control panel back into place and replaced screws on top. Replaced knobs. The White Timer Knob came with a clip in the same bag and did not have to be purchased seperately. Now I have an extra clip in case this breaks but I would not have bought the clip if the description for the timer knob said that a clip was included.
First i removed timer assembly cover screws, that hold element in place. Pulled element out, first disconnecting knob clip. removed element screws, replaced w/new element put washer back in service. Easy and simple to replace!
