Washer was over flowing
Removed the knob from water level switch. Removed 4 screws holding the control panel cover on and leaned it out. Made sure the washer was unplugged and removed the three wires and removed the water level hose and the switch. Installed the new switch and hose plugged the wires back in and put things back together. Washer works fine now.

Washer was not filling up larger than medium
Unplugged washer. Removed four screws on the top panel, unplugged and removed old water level pressure switch (which was visually broken), replaced with new part, put the top panel back on, re-connected power, and tested to make sure that the washer would now fill to Extra-Large. Worked!

1)pump leak damage,2) water over fill and leak water out the top
First I disconnect the power and then I pull the front cover and replace the water pump, drain hose, and the inlet hose this was fixed and straight easy job.My second problem was the overfill problem witch I took the knobs cover and I replace the water level switch.This job was also easy but did not fix my problem.

washer over filling
took longer to find my star tip screw driver for the control panel, once i removed it. removed hoses, 2 screws and 4 wires. put new valve in. totally fixed the problem!
I removed four hex screws from the top of the washer. I found the water level pressure switch and removed the dial. I turned it to remove it from the holding bracket. I removed both wires one at a time and placed them in the new switch one at a time so I wouldn't get them mixed up. I put the new switch in place and put the top back on usi
... Read moreng the hex screws. The dial was replaced. When I tested the dial I found that the dial did not match up to the water settings. They didn't even come close. Although the numbers were close on the switches, they were different. I had to remove the new switch and put the old one back on until I can locate the correct switch for my washer.
I removed the 4 screws from rear of top control panel, tilted it forward. Found the fill valve and water fill pressure switch right there. Removed a few screws and changed both items in less than 10 min. Parts cost about $75, probably saved me over $200 to have repair man in.

Where can i find the control circuit board diagram on the internet? A copy was inside the cabinet but was non readable. It has the number 175d2750g22 on the sheet it has also sht 533. On the back it has some repair directions but nothing showing the fill valve, or water fill control valve. Can you help?

Thank you for your question. Your control board is underneath your Controls & Backsplash diagram. It is part 35. Your dual water inlet valve is also located in that diagram and is part number 805. The water level knob has loosened and can’t be tightened. Should i replace it or is there a way to tighten it?

Hello Debbie, Thank you for the question. You may need to check the back of the knob where the shaft of the switch fits into. If it is damaged or stripped, you will need to replace the knob. I replaced the pressure switch (WH12X10065) on my GE washer per your instructions in the video. When everything is reassembled, the knob no longer aligns with the graphics on the front. I can turn the knob to 4 positions, but none of the positions aligns with the text on the front panel of the washer (small, large, super). Is there a way to fix this?
Also, the new switch seems to have 4 positions and my washer only has 3. Is that right?

Why would the hot (and maybe also the cold) water solenoid open & close 20-30 times during the fill cycle?

Hi Bruce, Thank you for the question. It sounds like it could be a defective water valve.I suggest trying to fill the appliance with just cold water to see if it does the same thing. If it works normal the Pressure switch will be fine. Hope this helps!

If your belt appears to be in good condition, you may want to check the agitator coupling kit, as this may be causing this symptom to arise. We hope this helps.

I suggest checking the V-Style Drive Belt first,make sure it is not wore out and not allowing it to grip the pulley and spin the drum in the spin cycle.If the belt is not lose or wore out. If it is not spinning or agitating with a load of laundry you may need to replace the Transmission and Brake Assembly.Hope this helps!
