Oven only heats to about 150 when using roast or bake i can see the glow from heat source (it is a gas range) but will not heat up. I can turn on broil and it heats up but can’t control temperature
For model number FPGH3077RFB

Hi Cyndy, Thank you for your question. Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating correctly, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat, and you will need to check it with a multimeter. When testing the sensor with a multimeter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature and it should be unplugged from the oven. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day! I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hi Sandra, Thank you for the question. If both elements in the oven are not working at all, I suggest replacing the Control Board,Part Number: PS2368652. If the elements turn on but are not getting hot enough, then replacing the sensor should fix the issue. Hope this helps!

F10 is displayed when oven warms up.. is it the sensor
For model number 79040292410

Hello Bee, Thank you for the question. The F10 fault code on your Kenmore oven indicates that the oven has overheated and the most common part replaced is the Temperature Sensor, PartSelect Number: PS11758156. If the sensor did not fix the issue, you may need to replace the control board, Part Number: PS11757779. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

Hi, my wife ran the self clean on our double wall oven, did one then the other right after, the next day the lower did not work and the upper did , i shut off the breaker and pulled out and made sure the thermal switch was good, looked good, when i powered up it switched the lower worked and the upper did not, would it be the circuit board? Sounds electrical, any idea

Hello Loal, Thank you for contacting us. There are a few parts that could cause this issue in your appliance. First I would say test your elements with a multi meter to see if they are working correctly or not. They should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms to be working correctly. The other part you should check would be your oven temperature sensor. That can also be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 1000 - 1100 ohms. If those three parts are fine however, then the issue may be in your control board. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair

My oven takes a long time to light. Sometimes it does, and it gets up to temperature, but is slow in doing so. Sometimes it doesn't get up to temperature at all. The broiler works fine, but the bake and convection settings do this. Usually if i go through the preheat button, it heats up but it is slow. Do you think i need the temperature sensor or the ignitor? Would a failing ignitor work sometimes and not all the time?

Hello - I've noticed my wall oven heats up, but is not holding the temperature. It seems to work well on the convection setting though. Wondering if this could be the part that needs to be replaced....also during initial heat up to 350 temperature spikes 10-15 degrees after sitting at a held temperature for about 1 minute.

Hello, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the sensor. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

On my Electrolux wall unit, must i replace the temperature sensor from the back side of the unit or can i replace it from the front, by reaching into the oven compartment?
For model number EW30EW55GS7

Hi Dale, thank you for your question. There are two ways to do the installation. From the front: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFZlbgMNZAc. And from the back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTDerTiSW4Y. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I encountered an f10 code error (beeping too) during the end of the self-clean cycle. I shut off the breaker to the oven for several minutes. I then turned the breaker back on which cleared the code error and beeping. I turned the oven on and set and started the oven for a baking cycle at 350 degrees - it would not heat up (oven cavity cold to the touch). Will the temperature sensor correct this problem?

A paper plate went on fire in my Frigidaire microwave, i have no display.I was told that it was probably a temperature sensor. do you agree? and what is involved to replace? thank you , lori
For model number Fgmv175qfa

Hi Lori, Thank you for your question. Most paper plates can be used in the microwave as long as they are microwave safe. You should consult your manual to verify the types of paper plates that you can use and when you buy paper plates check the packaging to see if they are microwave safe. If the display is not working, you will check the touchpad, the electronic control board, the wiring connections between them, the door switches and the fuse. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
