Bake Element - 240V 2300W

1). First, turn off the power in the breaker-panel box. Breaker panel should be labeled either "oven" or "range". If not, see your local Electrician.
2). You may need to slide the Stove or Oven forward to have an easier access depending on the placement of your Appliance.
3). Open the oven door and remove the oven racks and place them off to the side and out of the way. 4). Use your flashlight to identify where the screws are located on the burnt-out Bake Element. Take your nut-driver and remove the screw that is securing the bracket and element to the back of the oven. Note: This same bracket is not reusable but the screws are if they are not included with your new Bake Element. (Do not throw away any of the screws, you may need them later.)
5). Once both screws have been removed, slowly pull the old Bake Element towards you to expose the two wires connected to the terminals.
6). Take your screw driver or Phillips screw driver and unscrew the screw that is securing the wire to old Element. (Caution: The screw may be a little hard to remove. You may need to secure both wires while removing the screw to reduce the likelihood breaking the screw terminal off)
7). With both wires removed from the Old Bake Element terminal, slide the old element out of the Oven and off to the side. Install the New Bake Element in the reverse order.
8). Now that the element is installed; it is time to turn-on the power in your Breaker Panel box. Remove all tools and materials used for this project.
9). Time to check too see if the New Bake Element is working by turning on the Oven and observing the element as it operates to your desired oven temperature.

The bake element was very easy especially since I had the back off to replace the control. The only problem I had with the control was removing the face plate from the old control to use on the new one. I used a heat gun to help soften the glue and then was able to remove it. The wiring was a little differant on the new contrl, but the instructions that came with the new control were very good. Everything is working fine. Thank you for your good service. Blair W

turned off power to oven, removed 2 screws and pulled element out to access wire connections. removed 2 screws 1 on each wire remove old part, inserted new part connected wires and mounted it back onto the oven wall. turned power back on and now the oven cooks food faster and more evenly. thank you for your fast shipping and employee knowledge to get the right part the first time. Followed the guide that was supplied;. Very easy. Turn 240AC breaker OFF. Remove 2 screws from oven wall and two screws at the element AC connection. Replace element, reinstall screws. Turn AC breaker back on and turn oven on to test.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place with a small socket set. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires using a screw driver.

I removed the old heating element and reversed the above procedure to install the new heating element.

The procedure took about 15 minutes. The oven works great.

I removed the bad element and installed the new element, just performing the removal steps in reverse. Piece of cake! Took me all of about 5 minutes.:-)

The repair is easy. Make sure to cut the power first, remove the door for easier reach-in, unscrew the plate where the heating element connects into the back of the oven, unscrew the wires, and reverse the process with the new part. This should only take 15 minutes max. However, my oven is older and it took a long time to unscrew the plate because they were on pretty tight and they were nut screws, not philips or regular screws. If I had the proper tool, it would have gone more quickly.

I read how others made their repairs and did the same. It was easy. I just removed the two screws that held it in back and pulled out the old element, put in the new one and put back the screws in back the only part that wasn't easy was that the screws on the face brace of the element that screws into the inside of the oven are right behind the element and it gets in the way. The repair/replacement was easier than anticipated. First I removed the door (no tools required) by gripping it on the left and right sides and lifting it up and out of the 2 brackets it slides into. Then I used a very small socket/wrench to remove the two screws on the plate that held the old bake element in. (I think a person could use a small adjustable "cresent" wrench instead.) Then I removed two more screws to unattach the old bake element from 2 wires. Then reversed the procedure with the new bake element. These written "experiences" were helpful because it gave me the confidence to do it myself and I am not mechanically inclined.

My husband removed the two screws with a wrench and replaced the heating element. VERY EASY! The timer knob just slipped on to replace the one that had broken off.

First I removed the back of the stove. Then I removed the two screws that hold the top element. I then reached into the oven and removed the element. Replaced the element and screws. I then took the timer out by removing the two screws and unpluging four wires. I replaced the timer the same way I took it out.

My brother did the actual repair. He said he had to remove the back of the stove first. Then he took out the old part and replaced it with a new element. He said it was a simple job and took a total of about 20 minutes.

Before beginning the process to change out the bake element I first turned off the electrical breakers to the stove. Then I removed the door unit of the range to make accessability more convenient. I began by first removing the two screws that hold the element in place, using a small adjustable wrench. I then pulled the element out about 3-4 inches and used a screwdriver to remove the two wires attached to the back of the element. I replaced the old element with the new one by using the screwdriver to reattach the two wires on the back of the element, pushing the element back in place and attaching it with the two screws, using the adjustable wrench. After replacing the door unit and turning the breaker switch back on I was "back in business".
