Broken element
Removed the two screws that held the element in place. Pulled the unit out a few inches to get at the bolted wires. The hard part is reaching in the oven using bifocal lenses and trying to block out the oven light. Getting past that obstacle, the rest went very well.

Oven not heating properly. Oven lights out.
Removed bake element by taking out the screws of the element plate at the back of the oven. Pulled out the bake element and disconnected the two electrical wires attached to the element by screws. Screwed on the new element and reattached the back plate. The light bulbs (upper and lower oven) were replaced by pulling up on the wire holding the light bulb protective glass enclosure in place, removing the enclosure and then unscrewing the light bulb. Then screwing in the new bulb and re-attaching the glass enclosure.

Lower heat element burned out
having read instructions from previous PartSelect users it was a snap. Nutdriveer, and screw driver were the only tools needed. This was a wall oven and the most difficulty I had was getting to the nuts with the door open. I really didn't want to take off the door.

Bake element in oven would not heat.
Turn off circuit breaker. Release bake element from back of oven with a phillips head screwdriver. Remove bake element from heating wires with an adjustable wrench. 1/4 nutdriver was a little to big large for the old screw. Do not allow wires to fall back into the installation. Reverse the procedures for installing the new bake element. Most difficult part of the repair is having old eyes and not being able to focus on the work site which is about 12- 14 inches from your eyes. Young people with good eyes no problem. Oven heats like a new unit.

Heat bake went out
Flipped the breaker, checked that there wasnt power. Unscrewed the 2 screws holding the bake to the back wall of oven. Used nut driver to unhook bake from electical leads. Used new screws from new bake to attach to leads. Mounted bake with original screws to back wall oven.

Oven bake element broken
Took out the old (removed 2 screws holding the element to the back of the oven, disconnected the 2 screws attaching the electrical wires to the element). Decided to clean the oven with EasyOff. It took longer to spray this on, and then later wipe it up, than the repair itself. Reversed the procedure for the new element. A very simple repair - my wife is amazed!

Burned out oven element
we of course turned off the power. the box wrench loosened the nuts. the part fit easily in our 30 year old oven. It was easy to attach the leads to the heating element--a bit awkward, but we finished the job in 20 minutes. At first, the new element looked different from the old one, but it fit perfectly. The oven is as good as "new" needs cleaning!

Baking element burned out
remove/replace baking element. Relatively simple to do; however, I used the old screws/nuts as they worked better than the new ones which were included.

Fireworks! Element blew explosively. Loud noise, major arc. Smoke and blew breaker.
First job was power off! Next step was to remove the two screws holding the element to rear wall of oven. Next is was to gently pull the wires through the hole as far as possible. At this point I needed pliers to stabilize the joint while I removed the two screws of the electrical connection. Now it was easy to clean the oven to remove arc residue. Now it was a matter of reassemble. Hardest point was getting the screws started in the electrical connections without cross threading while reaching in over the door. Use pliers to ensure you don't bend the connection wires on the element. Finally remount the element with the two original screws. This was the second element to fail. Last time I removed the oven door for better access. I think it was quicker with door on but a lot more bending and reaching.

Element bad
New element arrived in a couple of days! We turned off breaker to oven, removed the old one which only involved two screws. Then we had to connect new one and re-attach metal square, only tricky part was getting the metal square positioned correctly but that was really not hard, just made sure insulation was covered and plate went back in same position. If we had called a eepair company it would have taken a week or more and probably been expensive!

Lower oven heating element was broken apart
I read your website repair testimonials by previous customers and used that advise to do the job. I liked the suggestion to use something to attach to the unattached wires so they don't slip back into the unit. I used two clothespins. I had one stubborn electrical connection to disconnect so it took a little longer -about 30 minutes. But it was a simple job to do and my oven works fine again. The item was delivered timely from the order date and packaged well. Thank-you!
