Replacement of coils
Removed by slightly wiggling out of the coupling. No tools needed, seriously, (and I'm a contractor). Basically, pull out and snap back in.

Our 12 year old oven bake element sparked and died on us
So easy, first I turned off the main switch to the electric. Unscrewed old bake element and screwed in the new one. Worked like a charm. We also bought from Part Select new burners and drip pans. Can't believe how good it looks. I placed my order on a Sunday and received it on Tuesday!! 2 days. Awesome website...Have told everyone about it..THANK YOU PART SELECT..

The burners no longer worked on my stove top
All it took to repair was to plug in the new heating elements. The REAL story is the difference in price. I went to a parts center first and the two elements were going to cost me $115! I got them at PartSelect for half the price. And they came in the same sealed GE parts bag that Sears had. Can't beat a good thing!

The drip pans were unusable due to excessive use, and I decided to replace the surface elements as well.
There was nothing to it...I unplugged the Sufrace Elements from thier bases, removed the Drip Bowls, replaced the Drip Bowls and then plugged the Surface Elements back in to thier bases. The entire process could not have taken more than two minutes.

Burners were not level and did not heat evenly
The burners were not level and would heat more on one side than the other. Since the range was 21 years old and would cost a lot to replace, I decided to replace the burners and treat myself to new drip bowls. I Googled and got the information on the range including part numbers. I ordered them and am very happy. It was very easy to replace the old ones. Only problem the large drip bowl was dented but on sending an email to compamy, a new one is being sent. I am very happy at the ease since I am a retired widow of 76 years old. It pays some time to take care of the old and do a little reapair instead of spending a lot of money on relacement when every thing else is in excellent condition. Thanks for making this a very easy experience.

Old unit failing to heat all coils
I first removed the unit by pulling gently from connection. Replaced the new one in that same manner - simply inserting into connection.
Very easy, I'll probably try it again soon.

Small elements were losing heating power and large elements did not work.
I unplugged each element from the terminal it was plugged into and then plugged the new element in. I also replace the drip pans and trim rings while I was at it.

Surface burner terminal blocks were corroded... intermittent connection
I am the worst handy man, but I have to say, this was so easy. Web site was well designed to find the exact part I needed. The coils pull out of the blocks with moderate pressure. Stove top lifts up like a car hood and rests on little arms. The blocks unscrew from retaining holes with a few turns of a nut driver. Take the back of the stove off, a matter of 8 screws and two minutes. Poke the new wires through following the old wires, pull the spade terminals loose by hand or needle-nose pliers and replace with new. Polarity indeed does not matter. Incredibly fast. Took me a quarter hour. (We will not speak of the extra hour of cleaning areas no scrub brush had ever seen).

Melted plastic colander on a burner
I simply replaced the element. HOWEVER, the most wonderful parts of this repair...Because of the pictures and closeups and descriptions I knew exactly 'what' to order! And I had the replacement in less than 24 hours. I can do some home repairs but this company provided such detailed information AND speed of delivery...that this was a no-fuss fix. I'll definitely stop by to buy, again. Thanks!

Broiler element was twisted, surface elements heating unevenly.
Shut off power! Removed oven racks, squeezed into the oven and removed screws securing the broiler element. Uplugged terminals from old element. Plugged terminals on new element and mounted it to the back of the oven. Surface elements are quick-disconnect replacement type. Just tilted up, pulled out and replaced with new one. One of them had welded into the receptical, requireing me to dismount the receptical and unscrew the wires. Best part identifier system I've ever seen -- wish car parts places would use this technique!

The support brackets on one of the burner coils had broken. Also needed new burner pans
I removed the broken coil, took out the old burner pan, put in the new burner pan, and plugged in the new coil. Worked like a dream! Replacing the other burner pans went just as smoothly.
