The display had an f 7 error code

I removed three screws to take the face plate off the oven to expose the electronic clock controller. I removed clock controller from the face plate and I then pulled one wire at a time off the old controller and plugged it into the new controller. A new latch assembly comes with the kit, the old latch assembly had three screws to remove it and the new one required only two to replace it. Again I pulled one wire at a time off the controller leading to the old latch assembly and plugged in the new latch assembly. I then replaced the face plate and I was finished. Start to finish approximately 30 minutes.

The oven control no longer worked.

Three things: 1) the instructions were faded and blurey. We ended up going to an internet blog to get more instructions 2) It was very difficult to get the connectors apart. You just had to tug with pliers. Had to be careful not to bend the wiring. 3) Needed to be warned to mark down well where all the conectors came from to get them back in the same place. You are unconnecting 10 different connectors.

Repeated error code

Removed all mounting screws with ease. Had some trouble deciding how much pressure to use to get wire connections off old unit. Had to pull pretty good with needlenose pliers, a bit concerned at first that I might break connector. It took a good solid tug. Then since there were a high number of connections I made sure to do them only one at a time and make the conntection to the new unit rather than getting confused with more than one wire loose at a time. New part works great and saved a bundle on a repairman.

F2 code - oven overheating and shutdown

Initially replaced thermostat sensor but unsuccessful. With some help from internet repair, the removal and replacement of the electronic board was easy given the labelling on the new board was essentailly identical to older model.
