It is found beneath the range hood, above the stovetop or near the control panel, and is protected by a cover. It also has a power rating of 20 watts. If the bulb fails to turn on, appears blacked or shattered, it needs to be replaced. Otherwise, you will not be able to see your stovetop properly, making cooking more challenging. To replace the bulb, unclip the glass lens covering it using a flathead screwdriver. Gently remove the old bulb from its socket by moving it side to side. When installing the new bulb, it is recommended to wear gloves to avoid transferring oils onto it, which can cause hot spots and early failure. I’m in need of two light bulbs for this KitchenAid range hood. Is this a pack of two or one? Do these bulbs have three dimming option?

How to get old bulb out?

Hi Sue,
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the manufacturer has not given us any installation information on this part. From what your diagram is showing me, it looks like you will have to remove your filter to be able to get to the light socket for this part. I would suggest cutting the power to the appliance just in case. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
