defectice solonid valve
removed lower-rear cardboard panel, cleaned with vacuum cleaner, brush. turned off supply water and unpluged electrical cord. removed and replaced the solonid valve for the icemaker and water outlet in the front door. Now the ice maker makes ice again. All's well that ends well.
