The current door handle is 27.5" long. What are the dimensions of this part?

1) Is this handle black?
2) The top of our handle separated from the brace, but I read others speaking of “screwing it in” and ours is not screwed in. Will a new one just snap onto the brace on the door?

Hello Elliot, thank you for your question. Yes. The handle on the door attaches to the outside of the door using some retaining clips. You will need to pull the handle to the side to release it. Thank you and have a great day.
