Continually having to replace the knobs because they are made of cheap plastic and split down the side for whatever reason I don't know. I do not know what I am doing to cause them to split down a side. Why can't they be made of a heavier metal?
took old one off with fingers replace with new one with a new knob again

Burner knobs on cooktop melted
I have been trying to find replacement knobs for months. I was having difficulty locating the model # on my actual cooktop and was told time and time again without it I would be out of luck. The # on the knob apparently meant nothing, go figure. This website actually had a picture!!!!! Eureka!!! I located my knobs! Great price, simple to put on, this website made my day. Thanks!!!!! :)

Simple to change, but you do need a torx bit screwdriver.
Remove screws holding burner down, invert and remove screw in igniter. Reverse to reinstall.

Being dumb enough to buy jenn-air appliances
I removed the old knob and replaced with a new one from the plastic package. Biggest challenge: opening the new plastic package. It if very nice to know you have many of the parts I will need over the next 20 years.

Broken knobs
First I removed the old damaged knobs by pulling upward on the knobs. Then I replaced the damaged knobs with the new knobs being careful to align the male and female connection. After installation I tested each burner for proper operation. As a final test, I asked my wife for her opinion. We're happy!

Shafts on burner knobs had split.
I thought I had ordered metal knobs but it appears that I got plastic ones. I’m thinking they’ll be fine, the others had just split the shaft that sits on the control stem, but I’m hoping this won’t happen again. I do have a repair question regarding one of the sealed burners on my Jenn-Air. The igniter switch sounds like it’s working but the burner won’t light without putting a match to it. Do you have any ideas of what could be wrong? Thanks for your help, Carol Lance
