This part attaches to the rails, for the upper rack, to prevent the dishrack from sliding all the way out.
This part works with the following brands: GE, Hotpoint & Kenmore.
This part fixes the following symptoms:
Put end cap in dishwasher with movable part toward the back of the dishwasher. The free end of the movable part should be oriented at the top of the end cap. Put the lower half of the end cap into the rail behind the indented metal area so the widest part of the end cap is just opposite the hole where it should snap into place. Push the movable arm towards the back of the dishwasher until it fits under the upper rail. Then move the top half of the end cap into place under the top of the rail.

This is the second time I have order a part from this firm. They have been kind, helpful and sent my order to me immediately. The first part was a wheel for the dish rack in the dish washer. The second part was an end cap for the dish rack slide. I installed the parts within a minute. I am very pleased with their professional service and highly recommend them to anyone with an appliance problem where parts are needed quickly.
Dishwasher rollers and other mechanical parts of plastic and rubber dry out and fail. A service call to an apppiiance repair person would have cost more than all the parts to repair the problem. Ordered them online on Sunday night, received them the following Wednesday, probably as fast as I could have had an appointment for a repairman. Changed out the parts in ten minutes and pocketed the change. $30 out of pocket instead of about $100, thanks to partselect.com.
removed and replaced wheels, and had to bend metal on end stop bar to install new end stop.
First, I was impressed by how easy it was to identify the parts needed for repair. The one inch grid and 3 pictorial projections is great. In the process of removing my upper basket to gain access to the defective basket roller, I broke one of the Rail End Caps. At first I thought that I would have to replace the whole upper basket, but then I realized I could order a set of 4 rollers and an End Cap.I ordered the parts on a Sunday night, got email confirmation on Monday. On Tueaday I checked the shipping status on-line to learn the parts shipped on Monday and arrived in a depot about 30 miles away in the middle of the night. They were put on a local truck Tuesday morning. My doorbell rang about 6 PM Tuesday night. Nobody was at the door but my package was there! I retrieved the package with four Rollers and two End Caps.About 15 minutes later I installed one roller and one End Cap. I carefully removed the remaining End Cap, slid the basket out, popped off the old broken roller and snapped the new one in place. I slid the basket back on the guides and replaced the End Caps (one new, one old). It took me about 15 minutes to do the job. Now that I'm "experienced", I think I could do it in about 4 minutes next time!Decided to save the extra parts I ordered until next time something breaks! The other old rollers were in good shape but were a little stiff so I gave them a shot of Silicone Spray. Works absolutely great now!Of course I have told my story to a few friends and they were impressed! Thanks
It was so easy-just popped the end peice in and it fit perfectly. I also ordered 2 knobs for my dryer which was only one year old, they were also so easy to put on.. I received my parts 2 days after I ordered and because of some problems with my computer had to talk to the operators and was very pleased and happy with their help and with the parts that I ordered. I wil always order my parts from Parts Select.
I removed the end caps from one end of each slide, then put the rack rollers on the slides, snapped the rack rollers onto the tray, installed the tray in the machine, put the end caps on the slides, and voila, done.
We simply followed the example of the end cap on the opposite side and snapped it into place.
I installed the end cap by pushing the new part on to the slide rack ,right rear side
Removed the end caps on the rails (push in the retaining clip and pull towards the front), removed the rack from the dishwasher, unclipped the old rollers, assembled the new wheels and retaining clips, installed the new roller assemblies and finally installed new retaining clips for the rails. (bought new clips just in case the old ones did not remove cleanly) Entire repair was too easy. I imagine a serviceman would have charged $75 for that.
The end cap took about 2 minutes to replace. I received my part quickly and installed it really quick and easily.
Snapped off the old wheels and clips and installed the new wheels. Make sure the wheels are installed on the holder prior to snapping the clip onto the dish rack. Very easy job.
All I had to do was slide the rack forward slightly, reach back to the end of the rack and snap the end cap into place. It helped to have someone there to balance the rack while I was replacing the cap.
I had to remove the end cap from each side which was a bit tricky but after reading other comments from your website I knew what to do and took my time so that I wouldn't break them. The new upper rack doesn't have the spindles and is a newer design which I really like. It makes the dishwasher seem like new!
There is nothing to tell I order send to location and their maintenance installs
