Lower element burned out
This element went out way to soon for a Maytag. As we are 75 miles from the nearest repair shop it was not cost effective to pay for a service call and the charge to repair. So even though the part was supposed to be under warranty we decided it would be better to order and my husband put in the part. Part is in with ease and my oven is back working.

The element on lower oven split
First we turned off the circuit breaker. Then we removed the oven door. Unscrewed the plate of the broken element and removed from the electric plugs. We attached the new element to the electric plugs, screwed the plate into the oven. Turned on the circuit and I was back to baking Christmas cookies. It was as easy as everyone else said it would be. It took about 5 min.

Lower bake element broke apart
Removed the two screws that held the broken element in place, pulled the element out and disconnected the two wires. Placed the connections on the new element and pushed it back in place and screwed it down. Turned it on and baked a cake. This was very easy. I am a 51 y/o woman and did this myself.

Oven would't heat
First I switched off the braker. I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. Then pulled the element out and disconnected the two wires. I put in the new element screwed back the two screws, turned back on the braker and BAM! Start cooking immediately... Very easy to do and very fast service from PartSelect. I hope I won't need any more parts, but if I do, you are already on my favorites. Thanks guys.

Oven wouldn't heat
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches AND UNFORTUNATELY I DID NOT TURN OFF THE BREAKER TO THE OVEN AND THE LIVE WIRE TOUCHED THE SIDE OF THE OVEN AND A WHITE SPARK/EXPLOSION SCARED ME. LUCKY TO BE ALIVE AS I HAD NEARLY CRAWLED INTO THE OVEN WHILE DOING THIS. ALWAYS TURN OF THE BREAKER!!!!

Oven heating elements were burned out
I unplugged the oven then, one element at a time, I removed the screws and pulled the connecter out of the sleeve. This was the hardest part as it is a tight fit. Then, reverse the order to replace the element. The upper elements were more work because of the brackets used to hold them in place. But this only took alittle more time to remove and replace each one. When I plugged the oven back in and turned it on everything worked great! Back to baking!

Lower oven element burn out.
Our Maytag electric range has a small oven on top that doubles as a toaster, and food warmer. The lower one is a big oven suitable for Thanksgiving Turkey Etc. It is also a broiler as is the top oven. The top one had the bottom element burn out about 5 months back as well. Now the bottom element on the lower oven had burned out as well. The oven has some age on it, but when I looked to replace it I saw it would be approx $1800.00 - $2000.00 for a new one. I knew the elements were replacable and thought if I should call out the lonely guy, the Maytag repairman. Nope, I pulled the stove out disconnected the 220 power supply. I got the Model number off the back stamped info plate. I looked up Maytags parts on Google and the first one was PartSelect.com. They have easy fill-in spaces for Model and Make and a schematic of the oven and all it's pieces are visually displayed. I found the part I needed and ordered. It arrived in two days, very reasonable, very fast shipping. Pulling out the old elements required only a battery operated screw driver, a flash light, and a magnetic dish to keep track of the screws. The removal of the rear panel takes about 10 sheet metal screws. I marked the leads I disconnected by color with a felt tip pen on the back. I disconnected and removed the aforementioned clips, cleaned inside the oven and placed the new element in, reconnected everything on the back as it had been according to my color assignments, replaced the back with battery operated screwdriver from the magnetic dish, reconnected the 220V power supply. Done, in about 30 minutes; I saved a bunch over a new Stove and at least a couple hundred over a service call. Easy and satisfying.

Element broke in the lower oven
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. It was a piece of cake. The repairs were complete in less than 4 days. A repair company could not make an appointment in less than a two week wait. Plus, we saved the repair bill.
