Does this unit ever meed to be recharged with coolant. If so, is ghis something the consumer do? Is this model still available?

Hi Cliff. Thank you for getting in touch. More often than not, the refrigerant in your air conditioner is designed to last longer than the system. As a result, it shouldn't run out. However, if your air conditioner is damaged, it can leak refrigerant and this is a scenario in which your A/C unit will need to be recharged. If your A/C unit is blowing room temperature air or you notice frost build up, these are common signs of a leak.
