This crisper cover front support is used to keep the crisper shelf in place, and may need replacing if the door will not open or close. This part can be used for the front support and mounts to the inside cabinet wall. Replacing this part is an easy repair, but will require a small flat blade screwdriver, a putty knife, and a soft hammer. Remove the crisper and shelf from the refrigerator before replacing the support. The crisper cover front support is held in place with a locking pin. To remove the old part, you will first need to push the pin into the interior of the cabinet using the screwdriver, and then you can pull the support out with a putty knife. After removing the pin and attaching the new support, simply use the soft hammer to lock the new pin in place.
This part works with the following brands: Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Kenmore, Tappan & White-Westinghouse.
This part fixes the following symptoms:
Nothing exciting - just replaced the defective drawer covers with the new parts. The guides are poorly designed. the bottom guides on both covers failed.

The tabs were broken by kids it took 10 minutes to repair on all 4 tabs you have to remove the push pins completed to get the new tabs to fit right
The support is still not installed. I cannot remove the old support from the wall of the refrigerator. I have used all kinds of tools.
Replacement of the water valve repair was a snap. Only the main supply line needed to use a nut to secure the water supply. All other lines were simply cut below the pointed end of the plastic tubing line, nylon nut discarded and simply pushed in to seat with a O-ring fitting. Took no more than 10 minutes to install the new valve and test for leaks after turning water back on. This was the easiest appliance repair I have done in > 5 years, 100% success first time,
Use pliers to remove the broken support. Clear the remaining insert pieces with screwdriver/pliers and insert the replacement part.
Replaced wall pins pulling center pins removeing set new ones replaced drawers. Damm Kids Busted the old ones it was easy to find your web site , parts and purchasse items as this was a new one It was diffacullt to use drawers
Installed new support
The old pins have to be completely dislodged (preferably with an awl) before placing the new crisper support. The new pin of the support should be driven easily into the hole on the refrigerator´s wall with a conventional hammer (carpenter type). If you find resistance while hammering on the pin, do not continue. This probably means that the old pin is still inside the hole and does not allow the new pin to go in.
Lost the freezer shelves so had to replace them...easy. The shelf bin holder broke so it needed to be fixed...piece of cake!
The handle and trim piece were very easy to change. Four phillip head screws and it was done. The only difficult part was getting the broken crisper support out of the the wall of the refrigertor. Once it was removed the new one just snaped into place it was easy to replace.
Due to the nature of the support deisign and installation which was unusual I watched the video on how to extract the old broken support and install the new one, odering the new part was simple as the view privided in the parts section was specific and and easy choice to make, cost was very minimal and I received it the next day due to my being in close proximity to the shipping point, thank you and my crisper is very happy and so am I.
I had seen technician remove cover for warranty repair. If I had not I would have been in trouble... I removed tray exposing screws, removed screws and lifted off cover. I then pulled off connector to circuit board. I removed the three screws holding the broken dispenser part and removed it. The reverse was easy. The hinge cover was easy since I had learned to slide it forward FIRST (that's when I broke it). The shelf supports were tricky. The old ones would not come out. I sawed them off with a serrated knife and then picked the pieces out. Installing the new ones wasn't going well until I realized that I had to hammer the pegs in. Then they went right in.
Took out the support and put back in the new one.
