Evaporator Fan Motor W10822580

Occasionally, will get noise from Whirlpool refrigerator in area inside freezer area. Assume this is the evap motor hitting frost buildup. Noise goes away after a couple of hours,when i assume, refrigerator goes into defrost mode. This happened last night, was quite loud but was gone this morning. Any ideas on fix to eliminate this occasional but annoying noise?

The motor evap fan in my KitchenAid refrigerator keeps turning off and on continuously all day long. It stays on for anywhere between about 3 to 30 seconds, then shuts off for just a second, then turns on again. It does this continuously, 24/7. I can hear a click that sounds like a relay whenever the fan shuts off. I am assuming that it is the motor evap (oem part # 2259385 replacement part #w10822580) that needs to be replaced. The temperatures in both my refrigerator and freezer are fine and i cleaned all my coils. Does the motor evap act as a relay? I want to replace the part, but am not sure if it acts like this is because it is defective or if it shuts off because of something else. Any thoughts/recommendations would be very much appreciated. Loud humming sound coming from freezer side. The refrigerator itself works fine. No ice build up or cooling issues. I just want the refrigerator to be quieter. Is replacing the motor going to make it quieter ?

The freezer fan tries to turn but only turns short rotation. Starts and stops. The dampened on the refrigerator side tries to open but only opens a small amount. The result is insufficient air flow. What are the likely bad components?

Hello, we have had a tech out to repair our refrigerator (symptom: 'overheat' lights on, alarm comes on periodically, freezer builds up with ice/frost, icemaker frozen so not working). The tech replaced the fan motor w10822580, thermistor wp2188819, heater wp2207486 & heater 2207485. The symptoms still persist, however. Tech then came out and put a 'heat shrink' in a drain. Now he says it is in the insulation?

I had replaced my evaporator motor a few weeks ago thinking it was bad because i was getting voltage to it but it was not running. With the motor plugged in it would create a number of issues: The condenser fan wouldn’t run, the air damper would not adjust and the digital display controller in the refrigerator section would dim. With the evaporator motor unplugged everything aforementioned would work as it should. After research i found that this model, along with many other models, have main control boards that have issues. The part is no longer manufactured, so i did a little more research and found a company that refurbishes them. I sent the main control board out, had it repaired, plugged everything back in but the evaporator motor will still not run. I’m getting a ground going to the white wire and 12 volts dc going to both the red and yellow wires. Is there a possibility that the defective main control board “fried” the evaporator motor i had just changed? I have read that this motor is a pulse width modulating motor, which generally means voltage at one of the power wires should be oscillating. I put an oscilloscope on it, but both wires have a steady 12 volts going to it (no oscillation). Can anyone help me and tell me the proper voltages i should be getting to this motor?

The motor in my freezer compartment seems to constantly run but has intervals of stopping and restarting. Will the evaporator fan motor fix this issue?
