Oven wouldn't heat
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires, then removed element and replaced with new .

Surface elements quit working
Drilled out old and broken hold down clips, installed new ones(4). Cut old wires attached to surface plug in block, striped wires, and attached new plugin kit(4), warmed up heat shrink with a hair dryer, put in new drip bowels, the stove is like new. I ordered the parts on line early one morning, the next day they were at my door and installed that day, everything that I ordered was there, and fit properly.
Way to go Part Select.com

Drip-bowls wore out
i read the installation instructions and followed them. first i made sure that each heating element was off. next i carefully removed each one (a total of 4) from it's plug and lifted the worn out drip-bowl up and replaced it with the new one. finally i pluged in (a total of 4) heating elements and turned them on to make sure them were working and they did.

Temperature setting no longer readable
The new thermostat knob dial was installed in about a minute, good as brand new! I was concerned, as our range is about 25 years old, and my model number was not listed. But Partselect listed several similar models, and a quick spot check of these showed that the dial appears to be fairly universal for Whirlpool products. The new knob dial fit perfectly! The drip bowls also worked great.

Cooktop elements worked intermittantly.
TURN THE POWER OFF TO THE UNIT. REMOVE THE COLD ELEMENT BY LIFTING UP AND PULLING OUT. REMOVE THE DRIP PAN. REMOVE THE ELEMENT PLUG SCREW AND PULL THE PLUG UP AND OUT OF THE SOCKET. CUT THE LEADS TO THE PLUG AS CLOSE TO THE PLUG END AS POSSIBLE TO ALLOW ENOUGH WIRE TO SPLICE THE NEW PLUG IN. STRIP THE INSULLATION BACK 3/8" TO ALLOW FOR SPLICING. INSTALL THE SHRINK TUBE COLLAR ON THE WIRE AND PLACE ONE NEW LEAD (PRESTRIPPED AT THE FACTORY)NEXT TO THE OLD WIRE AND PLACE THE WIRE NUT PROVIDED OVER THE BARE WIRE ENDS AND TWIST IT ON UNTIL IT IS TIGHT. BEND THE WIRE NUT SPLICE BACK OVER ONE OF THE LEADS AND SLIDE THE SHRINK TAPE OVER IT. HEAT UP THE SHRINK TAPE WITH A HAIR DRYER TO MAKE IT TIGHT OVER THE WIRE NUT CONNECTION. REPEAT THE PROCESS FOR THE NEXT LEAD. SLIDE THE LEADS INTO THE NEW SOCKET. INSTALL THE SOCKET AND SECURE THE THE NEW SCREW PROVIDED. REINSTALL THE DRIP PAN AND PLUG IN THE HEAT ELEMENT. FOLLOW THE SAME PROCEDURE FOR EACH ELEMENT SOCKET REPLACED. TURN THE POWER BACK ON.

Installed new switches and elements
just move one wire at a time. Each switch has 5 wires and I am sure mixing them would not be good.
Ordered parts, they shipped same day. Arrived exactly as predicted. Totally non-stress. Can't find a thing to complain about.
Thanks PartSelect

Simple - needed to replace the drip pans on the stove between tenants in a rental apartment
This wasn't much of a repair -- rather a replacement of a simple abused part. At the same time, PartSelect allowed me to order what I needed after two failed attempts to buy replacements that would fit the range. I'll remember PartSelect if we need parts for other older appliances in the rental units.

Element had burned out
Package arrived while I was working at the computer and my husband announced minutes later, "That's what I like to see". I didn't know what he was talking about until he tossed the packing list on my desk and said, "It works perfectly. Good Job!" It had only taken a minute to pop the new parts in and he already had water on for coffee.
