Spark Module malfunction, won't spark
Removed back upper cover, unscrewed retaining screw from module. As noted in a comment from another do-it-yourselfer, I replaced screw with a longer one and reinstalled module. Note that the replacement part is not exactly the same as the old one(the wires are located differently), I noted the wire color codes with the slot number and reinstalled them in the same slot number. Works fine.

Top burners would not light. No "clicking" .
My husband and I replaced the igniter module, following directions we found online. We removed the old one, replaced it with the new one, and thankfully everything is working great!

no ignition of (1) burner, poor ignition of (1) burner
First I diagnosed the problem with on-line help and ordered replacement parts. Once the parts arrived: shut off gas supply, unplugged power cord and disconnect supply line from regulator. Next I lifted unit from counter top cutout and placed upside down onto work cart. (grates & knobs were removed first).
Remove regulator and sheet metal cover, transfer wires from old to new spark module. The new module was longer and I had to drill a new hole for mounting.

Next I installed the spark switch by disconnecting the supply line to the burner, transfered the wires to the new switch, loosened the gas manifold, removed the old switch by gently raising the gas supply line, just enough to slide down the old switch and install replacement. After that, assemble in reverse order.

When everything was hooked up the poor ignition burner worked great but the no ignition one still had no spark.

The morale of it all: if there's poor or no ignition, especially on an older unit, replace the Spark Module and all Spark Switches. I bought one more switch and got the no-go burner working but the remaining (2of4) burners, while functional are not as crisp starting...but I got real good doing the repair the 2nd time around.

gas burners would not automatically light when gas turned on
I went online and discovered the repair method and schematic of the range. I removed the spark module after first removing the upper rear panel cover and replaced with the new part module ordered from your company and now the spark module operates all the gas elements when they are turned on thus lighting the gas burners. My mother in law was thrilled, as she had been using matches and burning her finger tips, since the original range part malfunctioned. The only problem was the small screw from the original installation was not long enough , so it required some changes to get it affixed to the cabinet side. Thanks for the reasonable price and the right part for the job!!

This is a black glass top gas cooktop with four burners. No spark at any burner. I assume it is a bad spark module. I would welcome any other ideas. Question: How do I access the spark module. I have removed all impediments on the top, but the glass appears to be attached to the burner box as it will not lift off. Thanks for the help.

Hi Richard, Thank you for your question. If none of the burners are lighting the issue is likely the spark module and it will need to be replaced. This part sends enough current to the igniter to create a spark to the bottom of the burner cap. For information on how to access the spark module, there are installation instructions listed with the part on our website that you may reference and there are videos online you may view for more information. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
