Level of Difficulty: Really Easy
Time to do repair: 15 - 30 mins
Tools: Screw drivers
Customer: GLEN from PAYSON, AZ
Cheap plastic appliances, what I would consider defective materials!
The repair was easy; pry off the interior trim/ door seal. Remove the two screws for the handle and slide/ disengage the door catch and spring. Remove the remaining five screws to remove the door frame and glass. Be carefull to support the glass as it will fall out if not supported. You will need to pry the small plastic tabs to release the door, You may want some assistance as it takes more than two hands. (We also had to purchase a new door frame as it had cracked, chipped and yellowed in only six years of use! The retention tabs on the lower portion of the door had also broken allowing the glass to slide down in the door exposing the grill in the door to the exterior!)
