Replacing ignitor
Got ignitor and it did not have wire attached as shown in the picture of parts. However, all I did was take burner cap off, and gently life ignitor up and out, detach the wire, attach new ignitor to wire and reset.

No spark at one burner
Other writers have claimed that this is a "really easy" job. They apparently had one or more of: 1. Less used appliance. 2. Never spilled anything on the cooktop 3. Much better luck. ... Read moreting. Having done that, I cleaned the igniter and tested it again. None of the igniters worked, and I could hear arcing under the cooktop, indicating one or more of the igniter HV wires had somehow grounded. After a fruitless search for instructions on raising the cooktop, I stumbled upon an envelope glued to the back of the range that told me to remove all four burners and igniters and to release the cooktop by inserting a thin screwdriver under the front edge about 3" from each end to release the spring clips. Several of the igniters were cemented in place with caramelized sugar and required some pretty vigorous prying to dislodge. If I had this to do again on a range that had been ridden hard, I wouldproactively order a full set of gaskets (they're fragile), the HV harness (even if it doesn't leak as mine did, the igniter connectors degrade from heat exposure), a set of electrode mounting clips (none of them were much use either), and enough igniters to replace any that don't work plus at least one. I pried out the recalcitrant igniters; in retrospect I should have crushed them because of the severe risk imposed by prying of breaking either a burner casting or the cooktop -- either of which are far more expensive than another igniter.
Pulled the old one out. Disconnected the wire. Repaired the frayed wire cover with Liquid Tape. Connected the wire. Inserted the new part into the hole. This is after installing a new spark module earlier. But that was dumb easy too. So for about $100 bucks in parts and an hour of my time I saved myself the appliance repairman money and

One burner would not light without using a match
I removed the burner head #152 and the Burner Cap #330, no tools are needed to remove these items. I pulled the igniter up far enough to get to the wire, disconnected and connected the new igniter put it back in place, reassembled the two parts plugged it back in and turned it on and it worked.

Burner wouldn't light
I removed the old igniter by working a thin screwdriver under the edge of the igniter, and carefully prying it up. I then used pliers to pull off the electrical wire. Connected up the new igniter, and pushed it back into the hole. A very simple repair.

Maybe i am not explaining myself well. I am sorry for that. I can get the top free by releasing the 2 clips towards the sides but can't lift top because of the gas tubes. I think i can reach in and take the tubes off the burners. Then the whole top will lift.. but i am wondering if the igniter will just pull up and out? and. the wire come up with it? or do i need to get the top up in order to get thw igniter out? thank you again.. allan

Hello Allan, thank you for that information. We apologize if we have misunderstood your issue. Yes, the igniter should pull up and out and the wires should remain on the igniter. There is not a lot of igniter wire so pull up carefully until you can see the wires, then use a pair of needle nosed pliers to remove the wires. Make sure not to drop the wires back down inside the cooktop. You should not have to lift the cooktop up all the way to get to the igniter. Hello David, thank you for your question. There are a couple of parts that could be causing this issue. I would recommend replacing The Spark Module - PartSelect Number: PS952864 as well as the Spark Igniter Switch and Harness Assembly PartSelect Number: PS953094. To access the underneath electronics you will need to remove the grates, burner caps. Remove the burner bases from the range. On some models the bases may be held down using two screws, and on other models there are no screws securing them. Then see if the top will lift up slightly. If the top doesn't lift easily, it may be held into place with clips, or screwed to the bottom of the cooktop with screws. If there are no screws holding the top of the unit to the base, use a putty knife and insert the putty knife on the right side of the unit, near the front. Press inward on the putty knife to see if there is a spring clip that can be released. If there is a spring clip on the right side, there will also be one on the left side. Lift the stove-top and place a sturdy object below it to secure it up. Or instruct a partner to hold the top in an elevated position. I hope this helps!

GE tells me i have a sealed top and igniter cant be replaced. I have 1 that only sparks now and then. Do i have to reach inside and take the tubing off in order to lift the top? Hello Allan, thank you for your question. Yes, that igniter is the right one for your model. I think you would have to remove all the burner parts from the top and reach in to be sure there are no other burner tubes mounted to the underside of the glass. Then there should be a few screws on the front under the top, around the front edge that you would have to remove then take up the glass top. Be careful when lifting the front of the cooktop because of the tubing, you don't want to break anything by accident. I hope this helps!

I see two igniters that are showing for this model - wb13k10014, and wb13x27058. Will either work, or is the ...14 used for the smaller burners, and the ...58 for the one large burner (right front)?

I am trying to find a connector between the ignitor and the actual cable? I had to cut the cable and now now i have a hard time finding the right connector which was very rusty and more or less unusable. Any recommendations ????

Hello Senyo, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the most common cause of burner flames burning yellow is low gas pressure from the regulator. You may need to check the pressure regulator, part number PS2337785, to fix the issue. You can adjust the flame by removing the control knob. Insert a screwdriver through the access hole in the valve switch. Engage the adjustment screw in the valve. We hope this solves your problem!

My right front igniter clicks but only sparks one or two times out of 10 clicks. I often have to use a Flame to light the burner. Is the igniter the only item that i need to replace? If so, what is the correct part number? All other burners light as they are supposed to and having another burner clicking makes no difference on the burner that doesn't work. Thanks!

The right rear burner does not spark. I can only light this burner using a match. I checked the spark igniter. It is clean and no cracks were observed. We keep the stove top clean so I don't believe any food or water has migrated into the spark igniter switch within the harness assembly. It is my understanding that the problem can be either the spark igniter switch/harness, spark module, or the spark igniter itself. I would like to troubleshoot the situation first before I buy all these components (I am retired, so I would like to minimize my investment here). I would like to initially determine if the spark igniter is the problem. I am thinking if I switch two of the spark igniters including the one on the burner that doesn't light, that would at least tell me if the igniter itself is faulty. Can this be done easily without having to lift the cooktop off the counter? In other words, can I simply pull the spark igniter up, then disconnect it from the wire connector? I have looked on youtube for some guidance, but have not found any information that would answer my question. Thank you for your input on this matter.

Hello Ed, Thank you for the question.Normally if it is just the one burner not igniting then the Spark Igniter would be the issue.
