Oven light housing broken and lower element needed replacing.
Had to replace one female connector on light installation. Found one at auto supply store and used crippling tool to install. Two screws used for easy installation. Lower element involved connecting two wires with male/female connectors and adding two screws. Works great.

Need to replace the light holder module for my top oven. As i thought you had to remove the module to change bulb and as i did the wire broke off the connector. Does the replacement module come with the wires too or is that separate and if separate what is the part number? Thank you
For model number JTP20WF3WW

Hello Howard, Thank you for your inquiry. The wiring harness that connects to the metal prongs at the bottom of the module comes separately-part# WB18T10271. Hope this helps!

The bulb in our range burnt out. Each time we replace it the bulb works for a short time and then doesn't work anymore. Could this part need to be replaced?
PartSelect logo
Hi John, Thank you for your question. It is possible that the oven light housing may need replacing. I would use a multimeter to check the continuity of both the housing and the wiring connected to it to see which part is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Oven light stopped working. Stove installed November 2020 and oven probably used a dozen times since. What bulb fits this stove? I see website says buy at store, but does not provide any other information. All I know is 40 watt. Also, I went to unscrew the bulb, the glass bulb came off in my hand, and metal base left in socket! Thank you in advance for your assistance. Bev
For model number PGS930SEL4SS
PartSelect logo
Hello Bev, Thank you for contacting us. We have researched the model you have provided and have found the part you are looking for is PartSelect Number PS230438. The bulb is only sold as part of the Socket and Glass Lens Assembly. The base is held in by screws. Once the screws are removed you can pull the base out and expose where the wires connect to the base. Pull the wires off the terminals and plug them onto the new base and reattach with the screws. We hope this helps!

Would they burn out in one years time
For model number JGS750DEF688
PartSelect logo
Hi Richard, Thank you for your question. That depends on a number of factors, such as: how much you use the oven light, or the manufacture of the part itself. Sometimes there is no reason for it just that the part has a short life. I believe that usually these parts are intended to last longer than that but I do not believe that the manufacturer, in this case GE, guarantees that unfortunately. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
