Older side by side ge refrigerator needed filter replaced
Because of the age of the refrigerator, I was unable to find original water filter replacements. I found an adaptor through PartSelect, ordered and received it within 3 days. I was then able to find a replacement filter to work for my appliance. It was easy to install. The Adaptor snapped into the port where the old filter went and the new filter screwed into the adaptor...Water / Ice system is working like new again.

Filter needed to be replaced due to contamination
The repair was quite easy. This is a Culligan unit installed by GE and we were supplied a number of filter elements when we purchased the house. We eventually used the supplied extras and had no idea what a problem getting replacements might be. Culligan at some point in time ceased to supply these filter elements and the GE replacement had to be installed with an adapter. There was no problem acquiring the adapter, the adapter seemed to be an unknown part to Lowe's and Home Depot personnel. The third Culligan employee I contacted was able to tell me what I needed and the GE part number.

Needed new filter and adapter
Firet removed old filter, Installed new adapter, then installed new filter. used pump pliers to insure tightness to avoid leaks

PartSelect ROCKS! Couldn't have been easier to do the repairs. Parts arrived in 2 days, everything I ordered was in the box. Minutes later my refrigerator was fixed!!!Thanks PartSelect, looks like I don't need the yellowpages anymore! P.S. I ordered a part I didn't need, called customer service and the return process couldn't be simpler. I will happily use you again and highly recommend you to my family and friends.
