Dispenser lid would not open
The wax motor seemed to work. At first I thought something was broken and I tried to figure out the "theory of operation" Working the actuator of the wax motor, I COULD NOT GE THE LATCH TO MOVE THE WAY I THOUGHT IT SHOULD. I ASSUMED EITHER IT WAS BROKEN IN SOME WAY I COULD NOT DETECT OR THERE WAS A FLAW IN ITS DESIGN!
It took a long time to figure out the latch would not be worked open unless it was actually holding the lid- this positions the latch at "half mast" and allows the mechanism to "pick it up from there" and open the rest of the way. So once I figured that out, I concluded the failure was really just worn out parts that were out of tolerance for how this "half mast" position and opening was supposed to work. So I ordered all fresh pieces just to be sure, assembled it (very easy) and put it in (easy). It all works fine now.

The soap dispenser door broke off, I lost the pins and the spring.
The repair is fairly simple except that the diagram on the web site has an error - it reverses the positions of the long hinge pin and the short pin. I kept trying to do it as the diagram showed and of course it didn't work. Then I followed my instincts! The only other difficult part was figuring out which way to insert the spring but there are only a few options so trial and error was the simplest way.

Detergent cup lid not opening during cycle
Suspecting the problem was a sticky gasket on the old detergent cup lid, I replaced the lid. First remove the old lid by pushing one of the hinge pins (the one without a spring) out of the cylinder hole in the dishwasher door. Important: before completely removing the lid, note how the spring is installed on the other pin. Then, simply install the new lid and spring and push the non-spring pin back into the cylinder hole in the DW door. My dishwasher now works fine! :-)

The pins on the soap dispenser somehow became disengaged and lost in a wash cycle.
It was difficult to use the guide provided online to determine what position to place the spring in. Finally I realized that the spring had to be placed with the tip that sticks out against the wall of the dishwasher to make the spring action work. The long and short pins were not a problem. How to place the spring was the main problem, but I finally figured it out. I did not need any special tools to accomplish this. I just used a kitchen knife to push the short pin into place.

Soap dispenser door wouldn't open
I didn't know exactly what was wrong, so I ordered 5 differnt parts. I probably only needed the wax motor, but I thought I might as well change some of the other parts while I had the door lining opened, which was easy with a socket set to remove the Torx screws. The hardest part was getting the old detergent cup lid off. Replacing the motor took 30 seconds! I didn't replace the latch after all, because it looked fine. The parts costs $38. Your web site is great and reading other's comments gave me the confidence to do my own job. Thank you so much!

The door to the soap dish on the door of the dishwasher had come off and the parts were lost during the wash cycle.
It was a hassle. We didn't have sufficient information in the user's guide to figure out how to attach the soap dish door which had come off back onto the door of the dishwasher, so when we bought the parts, a long pin, a short pin, and a spring (hinge pin), we could only guess how to put it together. The first two times we tried, the pins and spring came off in the dishwasher during a washing cycle and disappeared down the drain. We had to call someone out who just ordered the parts again and said it would cost us $146 to fix, which I thought was ridiculous, so when the parts came, I tried again. This time I figured it out by using a screw driver and hammer to knock the short pin into place while holding the door in place. The door appears to work fine now but, I have yet to use the dishwasher to know for sure.

Need new lid for detergent cup
Be sure to check for all parts you will need for repair.I didn't realize I needed to get the pins, springs for lid separately when I ordered the lid. So had to have two orders-but the installation was easy-husband did it.

The spring and long pin was gone
installed the pin and spring and then installed the lid with the spring in the correct position to keep the lid open under slight spring pressure. The spring is not a compression spring but a torsion spring.

The soap dispenser lid came off.
At first I tried putting the spring into the lid where the shorter extension of the spring fit tightly into the recessed part of the lid. (If you look at the lid where the hole is for the spring and pin, you see that there is what looks like the arm of the letter "Q".) This worked, but the lid would only open with limited force and would hang down when the dishwasher door was closed. After looking at it again, I positioned the spring so that the shorter extension of the spring ran through the partially open portion of the spring hole. (Looking at the cup laying flat on the ground, you see that the bottom of the pin/spring hole has a slit in it). This allowed the spring to have greater tension and I have had no more problems. The lid opens with force and stays closed when the dishwasher door is closed (vertical). This may be a little confusing as I do not know the technical terms for any of this stuff, but I just mess with stuff til it works or breaks, whichever comes first! haha
