The latch broke, and you couldn't open the dishwasher.
First - I selected 2-3 day delivery after ordering the part late afternoon. The part arrived the next day. Very satisfied with the time it took and the ease in selecting the correct part. Once I got the dishwasher door open, I removed the 11 screws from the door panel. The top two screws also hold the latch asssembly in place, so I removed those last. Then I detached the wiring, which required a pair of plyers - they were very tight. After that, I was able to replace the new part, screw the panel back on, and load the dishwasher for my wife before she got off the phone with my mother-in-law. Brownie points were awarded, and it took about 15 minutes.

Door latch was faulty and would not work, had to use a lot force to open if closed accidentaly
As described it was as easy as 1-2-3, safety first, disconnect the power, unscrewed 8 screws, opened the cover, got the old broken handle out and installed the new latch handle- connect the 2 connections, turned the main disconnect and walla.

Broken latch, could not open without pulling dw almost out of the cabinet.
Removed torx head screws around inside of door. This allows you to open the top of the door enough to access and remove the latch. The latch itself is not fastened to anything, just held in by pressure of the door panels. The wires on my latch were extremely difficult to remove and if you're not careful you will get a shock, so don't touch them both at the same time. Put in new latch, re-install screws. Worked perfectly.

Latch was broken
This was so easy. Just loaded up a torx bit in my drill, unscrewed the 8-10 screws on the door and lowered the front. Latch assembly literally fell out. Screwed up my courage and took a pair of pliers to the electrical connections, pulled them off and hooked them up to new unit one at a time (I confuse easily thus ending source of confusion) and set latch in it's place. Replaced the door front screws and was done. Piece of cake and the directions on your site were very helpful.

Door would not open.
To open "stuck door", with right hand around upper right top edge of door and with left hand push directly inward on handle then pull out with right hand. It is a little tricky to do, but door will open. Turn off power to dishwasher. With the right size torx driver, remove the stainless steel screws around inside perimeter of door, left, right and top. Lift out inner door, which has a clip holding some wire in middle, so can;t lift all the way off. Lift it up enough to just "lift out" door handle/switch assembly. With power OFF, grab plug connectors and pull of old handle. Mine were very tight, and kind of rocked connector down and up while pulling and came right off. Plug wires into new unit, lay in place of unit removed just alighning to two pins. Lay inner door back in place, put screws back in, and you are done. VERY easy repair.
