Internal insert knobs broken from wear and tear
First of all, Partselect is definately has the cheapest price and quickest processing and shipping that I found. No im not getting paid for this. Anyway, Be sure to kill all power. Pulled the inside cover off, carefully not pulling wires apart. The handle assembly fell to pieces. There are two wire harnesses (minor current)that you need to disconnect and reconnect to new switches. Align mounting holes and insert screws. Replace inside panel and screw tightly and fix is complete.

Door would not open
The exterior lift handle had broken on both sides where it rotates and presses against the internal release mechanism. Eleven screws held the door panel together and also the lift handle/latch assembly. The new assembly dropped right into place. But it had microswitches already installed and I wanted to use the old ones since it was very difficult to pull off the wires. To install the old microswitches requires that you hold down each switch button so that the switch will fully clip into place. Next I put all the screws (torx type) back in

The door would not latch
First I turned the power off at the elecrical panel. (there are live exposed parts on the inside of the door if you don't turn the power off and they conecet to the handel ) Then I removed the 9 or 10 tork screws that holds the inner part of the door to the outer part of the door. (Screws are on the inside of the door.) When you remove the screws this also losenes the bracet that hold the handle assmbley disconect the wires then put in the new one. the wires are a little hard to disconect. but that is about the worst of it . This part comes with every thing and and is cheper then buying it seperat. Sorry about the spelling. hope this helps

Unable to open dishwasher broken latch
Went to the hardware store and bought a T-20 torx tip and then unscrewed the plastic on the inside of the door, unplugged the dishwasher and replaced the latch assembly. This is an electrical part and it is essential to disconnect the power. I would never buy this dishwasher again. The latch is not something that should break.

Door wouldn't latch
I turned offf the power to the dishwasher, then removed about 10 screws to separate the inner door panel from the outer panel. I disconnected wires from 4 terminals, attached them to the new latch assembly and reinstalled the inner panel. The web site was easy to use, but I had reason to call your service people. The lady I talked with was especially helpful. I have bookmarked your web site and would order again, when necessary.

Door handle was jammed up and closed very rough.
The part was great! It was like a cartridge that plugs into the appropriate slots and done! So glad I didn't call a repair man to do this. Anyone that is considering fixing their dishwasher should check out doing it themselves. Thanks

The latch to the door was broken. Needed replaced.
Layed door flat. Unscrewed 11 screws on the inside of door. Lifted inside cover and pulled power cables from both sides of handle assembly.
Pulled old handle out and set new one in. Hooked up both power cables and reset inside cover.
Lined up screw holes and tightened.
Works perfectly. Very very easy. 10 minutes.

Broken handle on dishwasher
Removed all the screws around the outer portion of dishwasher door. This would be the part of the door facing the dishwasher when the door is closed. When you remove the screws, this will loosen the handle, enabling the handle to be removed and easily replaced.
Easy as pie!

Door latch broken
Turned power off to device. Removed all of the torx srews on inside of door. Latch assembly rest between inside and outside door and comes loose once door is unscrewed. Initially tried to repair broken latch, but was unsuccessful. So I ordered latch assembly. Unplugged wire connectors...make sure you match the sides of the wire connectors when installing new assembly. Replace door and restore power.

Broken door latch
I was planning to have an appliance repair guy do it. But he didn't show up. So I went down to Home Depot to pick up a Hex screw driver bit. Came back, switch off power at the circuit breaker for the dishwasher, opened up the dishwasher, unscrewed the bolts on the door, removed the connectors from the latch assembly, connected the new one to it, put it in place and bolted down the door cover. The most difficult part was disengaging the connectors. The whole thing including the trip down to Home Depot was less than an hour.

Dishwasher wouldn't open. The latch was broken.
I called the 800 number instead of ordering online. The young woman I spoke with was very helpful. Like others, I was confused about which part to order. I live in Mexico. There's a factory trained technician in town, but no parts. So I ordered the part, had it shipped to my daughter in CA, and when I visited I picked up the part and brought it back. The technician charged 150 pesos. (That's about $11 usd.) I watched him and realized I could have done it myself. But why bother?

Broken latch
Before starting job found step by step video of repair on You Tube, part was slightly different, but steps were all the same. Removing and replacing all the screws on the door panel took more time then the part it self.
