Light switch broke
An easy job for smaller hands. Removed the two bolts holding the light cover. Removed two electrical connections from the old switch by pinching the retaining clip, removed the switch, snapped in the new one and re-attached the connectors. Your online illustrations helped me to know that the plastic housing for the light switch would only swing down so far and was not intended to be removed. Saved me from breaking that plastic cover's tabs. This home repair saved me more than 5 times the cost of hiring a professional to do it. Very happy homeowner.

Switch light didn't work; broken drawer cover hinge
I removed the switch assemble from the panel with a Swiss Army knife. Disconnected the two wires and reversed the process with the new switch. Not being all that handy, I assumed the job would be very involved, but was very pleased that it was nearly effortless. A less than 15 minute operation.
Removing the right side panel of the lower drawer was a slightly more involved, requiring the removal of 3-4 screws and replacing the inner workings of the temperature adjustment workings on the new panel. But it proved pretty simple and only required about 20 minutes start to finish.

Light not working in fridge
It was so easy!
Thanks for the rush to my home on the part.
I just unscrewed the plate that locks in the light switch (screwdriver) and unplugged the old faulty part and plugged in the new switch, screwed the cover back on and I was done!
Easy!
And I am not Mr. Fix-it!

Fridge door switch did not work
I removed the switch housing (4 screws), replacing the switch in the housing was a snap. It took 5 minutes, cost $8 and light works like new!
Why didn't I order this part and do the repair earlier? Very simple.

Light switch broken; door bin broken
I removed the broken door light switch by inserting the flat end of a butter knife along the right side of the old switch. This depressed the tab that holds the switch in place, and the switch popped out. I tranferred the two slip-in wire connectors from the old switch to the new one and pushed the new switch into place. It was quick and easy. If you examine the new switch, you will see how the squeeze-tab works and how you need to release its tension to remove it.
The door bin just slipped into the holders from above.

Non-functioning refrigerator lite switch
My owners manual said to unplug fridge from elec outlet, use a kitchen knife to gently pry off the switch plate (manual had a pictoral example), unclip the two wire, replace with on new switch and replace the switch. Close door and plug back in. Open door to check that the lite works. Walla! It did. Thanks!
Sincerely, Ron Marshall, Billings, MT
