Cracked handle

Kids blame mom, mom blames cleaning lady. I blame cheap plastic part. ez install. Make your job ez wait for a helper to come home. When you undue 10 screws, second person can hold inner panel and door apart.

Replace broken door latch

This is the second time the door latch on my eight year old Jenn-Air dishwasher was replaced. I removed ithe door panel on the inside of the door by removing ten screws along the perimeter of the inside door panel. This is easy. The hard part is getting to the latch without taking the inside panel off the door. It helps to have another person hold the door as another person prys open the panel. There are two screws holding the latch. Once you unscrew the old latch and screw on the the new one, the hard part is over!

Broken handle

Removed the odd shaped screws on the back of the front of the dishwasher. Removed the screws from the old handle. Replaced the old handle with the new one. The screws that went into the handle were a bit tricky, but the rest was pretty easy. Be careful of sharp metal edges!

Old latch handle came apart

I removed the screws that held the door together then removed the two screw that held the handle onto the latch and replaced the handle and screwed it all back together. Once I got past the initial steps it was simple.
