Door wouldn't shut
visually compared door shutting parts to parts on webside it was visibly obvious that there was wear and tear and shape alteration. Order parts inserted on same spots old parts were removed from, screwed on and done!
It was very easy to order, received parts very quickly and saved a lot of time searching around town to find the parts needed.

Plastic door release latch handle cracked.
First I bought a 'star' pattern driver; all I had in my tool box were allen keys. Next, I killed the dishwasher power at the breaker. Then I removed ten screws from around the door assembly, and gently pried apart the inner panel from the door. This exposed the latch assembly at the top of the door. I pulled the latch assembly off its snap mount and the broken latch handle fell out. I inserted the new part and snapped the assembly back in place. Then I jockeyed the inner panel back into position and replaced the eight screws.

Door handle broken (internally) , couldn't open the door, easily
I took the door apart the first time cautiously ( 30 min ) to find the problem.i.e. the pivots on each side of the internal handle mechanism were sheared off from wear / time. Then I put it back together so it worked well enough, looked on -line to find the PN (easy) , and ordered it. The ordering process was clean and simple. The shipper took the order on line, emailed me the part was on order, gave me a ship-date , told me when it was shipped and the date it was supposed to arrive , the part arrived on time. Each time I got an email from the shipper it contained the part no.& description , confirmation no. and shippers I.D.. That kind of communication adds a large amont of confidence to any business deal. --- I forgot, the installation took less than 15 minutes after I received the part. I removed 12 s.s. screws, dropped two ( hence magnet) , installed the handle, put back the 12 screws & voila, job done. The door works like new.

Disconnect the power. Remove the door pannel. Disonnect the 2 micro switches on the latch assembly. Remove the latch assembly. Compress the latch assembly with the channel locks and insert the new handle pivots which broke on the old one. Reassemble the micro switches and reassemble the door panel.

Latch would not open without jiggling
OK! I'm 81 years old but thought I would give it a try. First BE SURE to unplug from the wall and throw the breaker or fuse. (I only pulled the breker and got a slight shock when trying to remove the broken piece.)Remove all the screws ang pull the metal panel from the door slightly. The door latch unit is fastened to the door by a snap bar gently pull away and you can remove old door handle. Snap the new one in place. For me this was the most difficult step. Snap the latch unit back in place; replace screws[ and your done. In just twenty minutes. NOT BAD FOR AN OLD PREACHER MAN. 7/30/11
