Smoking, sparking wire bundle under door.
Except for the power connection which uses wire nuts, all the connections are plug-in. I just oriented the new wiring harness next to the (still attached) old and swapped old connections for new one at a time until the old harness came free. The only "difficult" part was sorting through two bundles of wires midway through the process. Since I'd never done this repair before, it just took a little patience.
By the way, I'm not an electrician or repair technician. Nor am I a shill for any outside interest. But I've always repaired my large and small appliances myself. Most of these things are remarkably similar in design no matter the brand. A reference source like the NEW FIX-IT-YOURSELF MANUAL from Reader's Digest reveals much.
