Broken plastic dishwasher front panel
be sure to KNOW the power is off to the dishwasher first - this repair is wire-intensive. the most difficult part was re-attaching the face plate as the entire door must be taken apart to access the 1/4' nuts - getting them off was easy as all the plastic anchors had (somehow) been broken off so the face plate was just hanging. the screws on the inside of the door are specialty design but i used a small headed flat screwdriver which worked fine. the metal face plate must be removed from the old control panel and easily installed into the new one. all the electrical modules were easily disattached from the old and reattached to the new - i think 7 screws total with 1/4" heads. i took digital photos of all as i went so i could be sure to get it back together again - needs an extra set of hands throughout. it was tricky but logical once you see how it all works.
