The first task was to find the rings, drip bowls and elements on the "PartSelect" webpage. It was surprising easy, especially since I have no experience whatsoever in replacing range parts. The ordering was straight-forward, and most of the parts arrived within a week, a couple were back-ordered, but arrived a week later. Instillation was easy - just unplug elements, lift parts out, and insert new parts. I made a mistake in ordering - for the left side of the range, no adaptor rings are needed. I returned these excess parts to PartSelect, and within a week, they refunded the costs of these parts. Overall, I'm very please with the parts and service.

The drip pans, burner knobs and electric surface elements are easily removed and replaced. The new receptacles for the burners were NOT easy to replace, but electricians were on hand to install when they replaced the cook top into the new counter top. Even the electricians had to read the instructions - and remove the control panel to replace one of the receptables. Looks like a new cook top.
The part we received from your supply store, a Maytag part, was in no way a direct replacement for the original Jenn-Air switch. I had to shave material carefully off all sides of the supplied switch, including the plastic flanges that were to hold the switch in place. Consequently, there was nothing left to hold the shaved-down switch in the opening. I had to rig two pieces of material to attach to the back of the switch to hold the switch, roughly, in place. So, a poorly fitting replacement part that happens to function acceptably after an hour's work. The repair: The balance of the repair was unremarkable. I simply removed the metal plate that the control knobs are mounted on, pulled it out of the rangetop, and removed the old switch. I snipped the wires, as your instructions said, nutting off the ground wire which is not used. I used a compression tool to attach the two wires to the quick-connect connectors you supplied (many home repair folks would not have a crimp tool for this job). The rest of the time was spent reshaping the switch you sent to fit into the too-small mounting hole. I then simply returned the switch mounting plate, fastened with screws, to the range top.
OK, this was easy, and it's a good thing 'cause I'm so blonde when it comes to repairs. But I will have to say this, my Jenn-Air looks like new and it is 29 years old. Thanks Partselect for making my repairs so quick and easy.
i just ordered the part and replaced it with stainless steel. i am so glad the saleslady told me about it. my stove looks brand new. my drip pans look so nice with my new cover.
I have bought several drip bowls over the years. They all seemed to not fit just right. These are perfect! Thanks!
Had to drill out screw for old connector bracket and also had to extend wires from controls this took most time. Once done with this used wire cutters to strip back insulation and then put the whole mess back together also used a larger wire nut to reconnect wires.
Searched for parts and found PartsSelect to substantially underprice Sears for same items. removed old recept. with a screwdriver, no problem, had a little difficulty getting new wires attached as hand wouldn't fit under burner area and the wires were short. Also the recept. bracket screw hole was a little tight for the screw so I had to "stretch" it out a bit. Replacing drip pans and rings was a simple change out of the old, no tools needed for that. Overall an easy job.
very easy to find parts needed and shipped next day. will use this site again.
We unscrewed the top plate, unscrewed the top of the switch removed the ballast underneath and it worked. I was so glad to be able to still get the parts.
We purchased our home this year. We were thinking we'd have to replace our JennAir counter-top cook stove. We priced some new stoves. The realization hit us that we'd be spending around $1,200 to $1,800 to replace this stove. After visiting Partselect.com, it became obvious, we could just as easily replace those items which were broken or damaged and we'd have in essence, a new counter-top stove. When the parts came in, I basically took everything out of the existing counter-top stove and replaced it. The top porcelain counter-top had 8 screws. I was able to remove those and then worked carefully to put the new one on.Now that we've got all the parts on/in, my wife is very happy and states that we should be good to go for another 10 years. That saved us quite a bit of money! Did I mention, I'm legally blind? And I was able to put all of these parts on, with little effort. I just had to be patient and remember where things went. I do a LOT of feeling around to find things. The way JennAir built their countertop stove, I was very fortunate. Thanks to Parts Select and JennAir, we are now up and fully operational!
Our stove is from 1978 and was missing all but one drip bowl. I bought all the replacement parts from all the store, (Walmart, Target, Fred Meyer) nothing fit. I finally found this site and they fit perfectly! Thank you. If I have to keep the stove a while longer at least it looks clean and new now, and it still works great!
Unplugged old burner element, plugged in new element.
I recently purchased an older home. The cooktop is aged and has not been properly maintained. With the parts I ordered from parts select I was able to bring my cooktop back to almost new! I am very pleased with the quick service parts select provided!
Did not need tools for this job. Simply lift burner element and remove old drip pan and put new one in its place. However - the drip pans that were shipped only fit on the left side of the range. The right side, where the grill attachment goes, is so shallow that the drip pans on that side hit the bottom plate beneath the burner element and would not let the element go down far enough to seat properly. I kept the two pans that don't fit for extras, but I still need shallower pans to fit on the right side.
